63yo, Gleason 4+4, PSA 0.055, 2 measurable mets in pelvic lymph nodes-right iliac chain I finished a round of 6 chemo treatments in mid-February. I'm currently on Lupron and Nubeqa. My last PSA was 0.055. I decided to take a break before I start radiation in August or September to do some travel and

Severe RLS - a big Thankyou
I want to record a great big thankyou to those of you who responded to my previous post. I had between 40 and 50 alerts and very many replies in support of what I was trying to say😁 - and only one adverse comment😒. I would really have liked to answer each one of you personally but unfortunately I

Niraparib and peripheral neuropathy
Hi, I have peritonea serious stage 3c. I have been on Niraparib for 10 months and had very few side effects until I started with muscle pains in my thighs at night. My oncologist asked if I had any pains in my shoulders or arms which I didn't at the time. I now have and noticed that my fingers are tingling

Abiraterone plus Prednisone and 3 monthly injection failing now in 79 year old dad with mets to bone on NHS in UK.
Hi Everyone, This site has been a great comfort and source of knowledge for me. I'm travelling down a difficult road. I've had a brain tumour/brain surgery. My mother has severe dementia. My father was diagnosed with PC in 2018. He had prostate removed in 2019, but cancer had already spread outside prostate

New To The Thread
63yo, 4+4=8 Gleason, PSA 0.05 (56 before treatment). I’m doing the triplet treatments with Lupron, Nubeqa, and taxotere (for chemo). My med oncologist has called it the STAMPEDE trial, although I’m not actually in a trial. I was diagnosed last August and recently finished chemo. I’m still on ADT.

PSA fluctuations on docetaxel?
Hello all, is it normal for the PSA to increase and decrease while on docetaxel? Dad’s enrolled in a clinical trial and is receiving chemotherapy (docetaxel). His PSA was declining but suddenly increased to 1.26 two cycles/doses ago, and to 1.39 last cycle/dose. Wondering if this is indicating his cancer

Neuropathy
Are there any new helpful remedies to ease the discomfort of this neurological disorder? I am into another round of chemotherapy, docetaxel and Carboplatin and would love to have minimal addition to the discomfort I already endure.

After your diagnosis of uterine cancer, how was your experience with the healthcare system?
I was diagnosed in 2015 with Stage 1A, serous endometrial cancer. My gynecologist made the diagnosis after a suspected diagnosis of endometrial polyps. She performed a D&C with biopsy and made the diagnosis. Fortunately, she was on staff at a highly ranked university medical center and was able to arrange

After RP who goes over Pathology?
We messaged Surgeon through portal and asked how many lymph nodes removed. He states that pathology will tell us that…Does the medical oncologist go over the surgery pathology?. My husband has great physicians, but definitely confused by these mixed messages of whom is willing to give my husband answers

Expectations after six cycles of Taxotere
My husband was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer nearly three years ago, receiving a regimen of ADT, which included abiraterone, Lupron and prednisone. When that no longer worked, he started first-line chemotherapy. He just completed his sixth cycle. His PSA dropped until the sixth infusion

Cancer drug found to contain life-threatening bacteria
Not specific to CLL but India is one of the leading countries in the world making generic drugs and this issue, in my opinion, is a cause for concern and why I always buy branded over the counter drugs when I need to. Incidentally, there are allegedly the same issues in China where the FDA theoretically

Prognosis Stage
My husband had throat cancer and was cleared in 2017. Then lung cancer last year, was cleared but its now returned. He is currently receiving Immunotherapy as chemotherapy wasn't helping. My question is why when we ask the consultant or her Registrar for a prognosis they don't know, we haven't been told
