Hi there, I was on this trial last year at the Marsden in London. I was convinced that I was taking the SERD as I felt sick quite a bit but then I got more liver progression and when they unblinded it, turns out I was on the placebo, and gallstones probable cause of sickness. All the blood tests did reveal the pic gene so now I'm doing well on Piqray.Good luck - hope you get the actual drug! Gill

I can't remember it's other name - alpesilib or something - but it's pretty new to the UK and targets the mutation they found, which is good x

Hi. What side effects are you experiencing on Piqray? Are you taking it with Fulvestrant injections? I will be starting on Piqray in a couple of weeks so any info you can share will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, yes with Fulvestrant. My hands and feet are dry but Eucerin over the counter cream keeps them soft. My stomach is unpredictable but it might be the gallstones - I get occasional diarrhea. Otherwise, pretty good! And it's working. Good luck with it.

thank you for replying so quickly. May I ask if your blood sugar is going up? I believe that a major side effect of Piqray is that it may lead to type 2 diabetes.

Yes, blood sugar did go up. I was already taking Metformin as prescribed by COC and they increased my dose which has kept glucose under control.

Thank you. I have trouble swallowing big pills and the metformin here is huge. I’m looking into pediatric oral solution metformin.

You're right, they're huge here too! An oral solution sounds like a smart option 👍
