Cold cap advice?
Im a very lucky gal whose cancer was caught early (by accident) at stage 1c. I've had surgery and about to start chemo tomorrow. Carbopentin only. They booked me a cold cap as I was originally going to have Carbo + Taxil which usually results in hair loss. Now the risk is lower so not sure whether you'd

starting on niraparib after frontline chemo
Hi ladies, I finished first line chemo in December and my oncologist has recommended I start taking Niraparib 200mg daily in one tablet for 3 years. I’m stage 3A HGSOC and HRD+ BRCA negative and I’ve been reading quite a few posts that Olaparib seems to be mentioned more in connection with HRD+ so I

I was diagnosed with Ovarian ca IVa involving the omentum and liver tumors in September 2023. Since then, have undergone 6 cycles of chemo (avastin, Carboplatin, taxol). Now, am anticipating for surgery on Feb 27 ( in 3 weeks). My surgery told me there’s a 50/50 chance I will need colostomy ( tumor

Blood biopsy
My last PET scan showed progression in my T1, manumbrium (top part of the sternum) and in my pelvis. My oncologist ordered a blood biopsy and the results show that there is no treatment for my mutations. So I had 5 sessions of radiation, each time treating all 3 of my lesions. She is keeping me on

Father with Stage 4 prostate cancer in 8 bones.
On 10/25/22 I took my dad (79 at the time) to the ER at the VA for escalating back pain and we walked out with a stage 4 prostate cancer diagnosis. When I brought him to the ER I expected them to tell me he had lung cancer as he is a lifelong smoker. Additionally, I had been worried about him all year

PSMA-Addition Trial can give access to Pluvicto for DeNovo or mHSPC
The range of access to Pluvicto (Lu177-PSMA-617) radionuclide treatment is expanding. Great news. The PSMA-Fore trial recently showed that it iis very beneficial before docetaxel chemotherapy in mCRPC. Now a worldwide trial is exploring it in metastatic hormone sensitive PC, including de novo metastatic

What should I do - follow-ups not feeling thorough
Hi everyone, before I start my question I want to send out love to everyone on here and I really wish being well for everyone. I wish there wasn’t a load of experts on here because it means we are all in this. I was diagnosed in 2022 - they thought they would find ovarian but they were surprised to

I am going to start this new drug as soon as I can get approval. I want to hear from all who are taking it about your experience-- outcomes, side effects, all your experience. What about hair? I lost mine a year ago on IV chemo. Thanks for all replies.

Ok, first blood work, 3 weeks after the last chemo of ARASENS protocol PSA is 0.39, it was 70 at diagnosis and 15 after 4-5 weeks (when I have started ARASENS) Testosterone 0.33 nmol/L well, that's it!

How can one person be so Lucky?
Diagnosed in December 2022 with Stage 4 metastatic PC Gleason 4 + 3, due to a PSMA Pet Scan. Highest my PSA got was 7.4, Pet Scan discovered a small spot on my T2 vertebrae that the MRI and bone scan did not find. I subsequently started on a regimen of Lupron and Erleada, adjusted to the SE and

mHSPCa with undetectable PSA - chemo-only?
Is chemo-only justified, without ADT/androgen receptor pathway inhibitors, in a case like mine with two new mets discovered and with PSA less than 0.1? I have had no SOC medication since 2.5 years, after SRBR to a single identified met. Gleason 9. This study points to ADT not being of benefit to low-PSA
