did anyone develop gastritis during chemo that persisted afterwards? During second line my mum developed wave like abdominal cramps, trapped gas and a burning stomach she also gets hiccups goes pale and gets back ache. Her doctor chalked it up to the chemo. Two months out and she’s still suffering. It’s worth noting mum responded well to this chemo x

Hi worried daughter 95, I sometimes get stomach cramps and trapped wind and I was prescribed Hyoscine Butylbromide by my GP and they work for me. I don't seem to need them as much these days, it depends on what I eat or drink. Hope this helps you xx. 😊

Hi, I had very similar symptoms to those your mum is experiencing - I became lactose intolerant due to the chemo. Once I cut dairy out of my diet , my symptoms completely disappeared. I obviously can’t say it’s the same issue with your mum but it might be worth her cutting out dairy for a while to see if it helps? Good luck x
