Endoscopy

My GI doctor Did an endoscopy on me, and discovered that I have a gigantic ulcer in my small intestine. The largest he ever saw in the area. So the mystery of my intense pain is solved! I'm happy to know it's not Crohn's disease. He's just treating with meds, and it seems to be helping.

Between my initial visit to the doctor and the endoscopy (which confirmed coeliac disease) the pains I was having had totally disappeared despite me continuing to eat a gluten containing diet.

I’m now waiting for endoscopy which I feel I want to cry if I think about it. Is it actually reflux? And if it’s, why lansoprazol and ranitidine did the help? Is it going to be forever? What’s going on? Any other tablets can someone suggest? It’s so depressing, no idea what to do.

hi everyone two days ago i had an endoscopy and afterwards i have this pain at the bottom of my sternum, basically where the esophagus and stomach meet, every time food or water passes that point. it’s now day 2 and i feel a whole ache down my esophagus and across my back. i’m so so so scared something

The ER doc wants to do a endoscopy but I'm sooo scared of it... Mostly because of complications!! I'm deathly afraid of perforation of the accophigus!! Any advice would be great!

My gastrointerologist did a colonoscopy and endoscopy in one day. The only thing he found was is several polyps in my abdomen. Which he lanced but we’re benign. I was also diagnosed with acid reflux. I was taking omeperazole but discontinued.

My wife has fairly severe stomach upset, bloating and her endoscopy showed gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining). There was no h-pylori or celiac, so her endo feels it’s from one of her medicines.

My symptoms are well controlled but oesophagitis is not cured as seen from 3 year interval endoscopy. My GP has suggested ARMS should I go for it or should Continue on ppi

He talked through the Fibroscan, gave me extensive blood work again (GGT, iron and hep breakdowns, all that), did an upper endoscopy due to some suspicions with the continued RUQ pain, and all in all told me everything was great.

In trying to locate the source of infection he had an endoscopy and 8 varices were banded.

And how do i ease my mind of knowing I will have to be put under to have an Endoscopy done? I have never in my 34yrs of life had a medical procedure done and I am scared to death!

Anyone here experience false negatives on imaging tests? For example, had an US, MRI, endoscope all come back negative/normal but end up catching something on liver biopsy? Curious as I have a biopsy coming up and anxiety is really starting to ramp up. Appreciate everyone on here - great site and

So frustrated!! Going on three months with extreme abdomen pain and more recently back pain. I do have a little Reflux but that is not my main issue. The cramping and gas are getting to be unbearable. My Gastro told me to eat the Low Fodmap diet and take a probiotic. I have been doing that for 3 months

Stomach ache was there for couple of months .. endoscopy clear ... But pain still there ..... So the stomach pain disappeared and the chest pain came in ... I used to smoke so thought I have lung cancer ... To be honest I take every sensation in my body as a symptom of cancer...

She said that I don't have any any varices although my previous endoscopy showed very early varices. She said I was okay to fly long haul and just get on with my life.

I am due a endoscopy but on apicaban etc and cardiologist said must keep taking them but the nurses in endoscopy need me to be off meds a day or two before
