Esophageal dysmotility - failed esophageal manometry test - where do I go from here?
The lab nurse suggested the aperistalsis may be caused due to GERD, Achalasia (but none seen in
endoscopy
or Barium swallow) or by scleroderma.

Any advice greatly appreciated.
It was like my whole upper body was on fire and this probe is far smaller than an
endoscopy
one. It settled down pretty quickly though and I tried it again 3 weeks later but the technician couldn't get the probe up my nose.

Anyone swallow lots of air? Aerophagia, I think they call it.
I have had an
endoscopy
so I know all is well. Anyone else relate to this?

Gastrectomy and bile reflux
Now her bile reflux has gotten quite bad,not helping at night, not allowing her to eat well. She is waiting for an
endoscopy
. My question is, what medicine is there, for bile reflux, for people with out a stomach? gaviscon is helping but not reducing excess bile, so what does reduce excess bile?

An understanding GP
I had a gastroscopy and
endoscopy
, neither revealed a problem. As I had read that reducing THS (or a low one) could induce anaemia, i decided to stop medication, with agreement of GP (an understanding one in the practice, not the one who had originally persuaded me to go onto treatment).

New diagnosis Hashimotos help with next steps!
The GP has thought it's anxiety and I do have my first CBT appointment Friday...but also I have a referral to gastroenterology in a couple of weeks but I would so rather avoid an
endoscopy
if I can!!

IBS symptoms associated with Endometriosis
I am not diagnosed with endometriosis yet, but have been re-referred to a gynaecologist in my area because I have just had an
endoscopy
/colonoscopy under Gastroenterology to rule any gut issues out first. I still suffer from acute pain and heavy flow each month.

Confused about results
I am still eating gluten as advised by dietitian until I have
endoscopy
test. Why have the symptoms suddenly gone? Is it possible to have a positive test but not have celiac disease?

Colonoscopy & Endoscopy
I have been recommended to have a colonoscopy and
endoscopy
with sedation. Having both procedure done at the same time... was also told I should not feel or remember anything. Having it done privately, if this make a difference, by a very experienced doctor.

Oesinophilic oesophagitis
Good morning, I am due an
endoscopy
at the end of the month to look at my oesophagus. I had a bad bout of reflux, without heartburn but just acid burning my throat. This then lead to breathlessness, or rather a feeling of being unable to get a deep breath.

Improving survival rates
I was then referred by consultant to see a different consultant who decided he wanted to look inside himself rather than refer to previous
endoscopy
and so in April he did, and I was admitted as emergency case due to collapsing on
endoscopy
unit due to not being able to eat for 5 months. 2 days later

I just wanted to pass this on may help others.
Anyway after that I would have stomach flares but no major developments until 2018 where I started having new symptoms of really bad heartburn which would lead to a very sore esophagus so went for
endoscopy
and other tests including a esophageal mobility test. This showed achalasia.
