I am brand new here. I am having lower right rib pain, feels muscular and sometimes I feel it in my shoulder blade. I have had a CT Scan with contrast, showed nothing. I had an endoscope and I have a healing ulcer. I also had an ultrasound, showed nothing and a HIDA Scan, showed my gallbladder is fine. Any help?

Right lower rib pain
Has the idea that it's muscular or mechanical been investigated? As your gut instinct could be right especially if no other symptoms, like inflammation or digestive problems, that would point to something with internal organs or immune system. Maybe ask GP to be referred to a physio.
I am having the same issue but on my lower left rib cage. Plain xray and ultrasound normal, but at times I feel as if I have a cricket ball stuck under my ribs. My lower ribs both sides are also painful to touch.
GP through costocondriasis, but rheumatologist not convinced. Physiotherapist no help.
Sorry not much help, but you are not alone !
Hi there.... I know Mmrr mentioned Costocondritis and I must admit this is what jumped to my mind. It can be incredibly painful. I found mine worst when I changed position from lying to upright or taking in a big deep breath. Taking the dog for a walk was excruciating with each step. I happened to start steroids at the time for general inflammation ( whilst waiting for Methotrexate to kick in) so luckily, eventually it went. Took many weeks! Just my experience of rib pain. Have had it again since but nowhere near as painful but recognised the feeling and in same area ( right side for me). Maybe keep a diary note logging all things you do / pain etc to see what might be aggravating it more? Best of luck.
