Had an
endoscopy
and colonoscopy on the 15th and got biopsy results back from upper
endoscopy
; she confirmed Autoimmune Atrophic Gastritis. This is something that’s been suspected for quite a few years and finally confirmed.

Cirrhosis over time.
My bloods are now normal and my recent
endoscopy
showed 2 small grade 1 varicies with no red risks. At my recent check up my consultant was very happy with progress since my admission to hospital back in March.

Last update on 5th valve replacement surgery
Hi all. Well, it’s now been 2 months since my surgery so thought I’d give a final update. A few little issues with fluid in the chest which has now gone. My medication has reduced significantly and I am ready to go back to work. Am driving with no issues and I’ve even been swimming a couple of times

Has anyone tried the Self Check Gluten Sensitivity test (IgA) from Lloyds chemist?
I've read that if the test is negative then that is likely to be accurate, if it's positive then it's less accurate and you should get a more accurate test (I think it's an
endoscopy
). I don't know what the chances of getting my GP to authorise that are.

Health anxiety - reining it in while you undergo tests: can you?
I’ve had a mammogram, an
endoscopy
, a colonoscopy, ECGs, a CT scan (that went wrong), an MRI, at least 4 ultrasounds (of separate parts of the body) and numerous other checks, blood tests and stool tests, just in this one year.

Spider Angioma?
I've been through most tests (x-ray, CT scan of abdomen, extensive lab tests but not liver specific,
endoscopy
, colonoscopy, etc.) and they've returned normal. Concerned but my doctor thinks I'm just paranoid or crazy! Figured someone here might have some experiences they could share.

IBD? Stomach pain, acidity, feeling full, feeling constantly hungry, nausea? Treatments?
-
Endoscopy
(camera via mouth in stomach) was performed- no serious abnormalities, only that the esophageal sphincter doesn't always close properly, therefor could cause acid reflux) -I've tried quite some different medicines for helping the stomach lining and nausea. No breakthroughs though...

Painkillers
(unnecessary as I had had an
Endoscopy
two days before when they failed to band some varices) then a completely unexplained seizure whilst on the ward recovering from bleeding and banding.

Are Gastric Ulcers permanent? Are they linked to Cirrhosis?
My husbands recent
endoscopy
and biopsies have shown he still has gastric ulcers and recommends PPI for 8 weeks. He has been on PPI for at least a year.

Abdominal pain with gas, bloating and foul body odor
I had colonoscopy, SIBO tests,
endoscopy
, been on various anti-depressants, but nothing worked. Anyone has these symptoms? Any ideas what to test. I am consulting new GI and undergoing new tests. Blood work came out good, stool test waiting for result.

I am getting my 3rd
endoscopy
later this week. First one I had I opted for everything going, sedation and throat spray. However as soon as the throat spray went in, like after a nano second, I felt i couldnt swallow and properly had a panic attack on the table.

All scans have come back clear!?
Dr has referred me to have another
endoscopy
with ultra sound attached. I have drank alchahol for about 20 years and more than the recommended amount. I have informed the Dr about this. He assured me there's nothing sinister going on in my body!
