Update after consultant
Need another
endoscopy
in 5 weeks to check on ulcers found in his stomach. Possibly some fluid in stomach but not much. Ultrasound every 6 months. Is this good news, he seems to be slipping back into the state he was before antibiotics these last 2 days thought it was 1998 this morning?

eosinophilic esophagitis
I had an
endoscopy
done and results showed I have eosinophilic esophagitis. I was told my anti acid/gerd medication I was on Protonix was not helping me so was prescribed Omeprazole. Has anyone had this and what did you do to get better? Also, did you find what foods caused it to happen?

So I saw Transplant consultant last month and he said I probably won’t live 5 years without a transplant. I went back yesterday as follow up as they are now seeing me monthly, and we’ll I was totally surprised

Cytosponge Test
Hi, I have been offered this Cytosponge test or I can go straight to
endoscopy
. I have been having endoscopies every 1 to 2 years because of Barrets.. Has anyone had experience with the Cytosponge sponge test, is it more uncomfortable or better than
endoscopy
?

Ablation, fistula fears
Should I see if I can get an
endoscopy
soon after the operation? (You cannot get one later as it could introduce a gasbubble in the potential fistula)

Anagrelide in UK and in the USA😱
My long suffering wife has been taking Anagrelide and a little hydroxycarbamide for five years now. During these five years she has endured numerous upper GI bleeds, and endoscopies, which have never found the source of the bleeds. More recently, and only since her Anagrelide has been reduced from 21

Endoscope..functional dyspepsia and Prilosec
Finally had endoscope which shows not much of anything that one takes Prilosec for....been taking for well over a year....I think it is actually causing my stomach issues. Anyone else had this experience? Will be meeting with GI and want to get off of this. Looking for input from those with similar experience

petrified about possible colon cancer symptoms/diagnostic process
I also had a simultaneous
endoscopy
which showed my stomach to be one giant patch of gastritis. In the last couple of months, I started feeling a sharp or sometimes mild burning pain in roughly the same place. It radiates in several places - similar to what the pain 4 years ago did.

Do I declare Esophageal varices (no longer found) on travel insurance?
Hi All, I've booked a holiday for April next year and I'm looking for a bit of advice regarding my travel insurance. Due to having a blood clot in my portal vein because of my MPN I was diagnosed with having Esophageal varices (bloated blood vessels). However, I recently had an endoscopic examination

varices
Had
endoscopy
2 years ago, no varices. my question is how long do they take to develop? Someone I know has tragically just passed away following a massive bleed and I can’t stop worrying now.

I am absolutely petrified do I have to have one or can I have another blood test. I really don’t want one and just want to go gluten-free and get on with it.

Anti thyroglobulin Antibody High
Have had an
endoscopy
( am awaiting report but consultant didn't seem overly concerned) had a cystoscopy which was clear as I have an enlarged prostate but normal psa levels. I got bloods done privately which show I have elevated anti thyroglobulin antibody's.

I was having an
endoscopy
for something else. Initially was shocked, panicked and experienced a myriad of emotions. I’ve just had a review after a year my first scan, and liver function tests etc. It seems thankfully still at this level.

Aspirin-induced gastritis and gastrointestinal bleeding
At her suggestion I had an
endoscopy
three weeks ago. We discovered that I was having gastrointestinal bleeding. The doctor suggested that I stop the aspirin therapy.

Hiatal hernia
I was given an
endoscopy
over a year ago. It showed a hietus hernia but the GI said it was benign and didn't feel the ripping was digestive. I kept going back to the GP because over the months the ripping feeling got worse.
