Advice sought with SVT & exercise
I'm looking for advice about exercising with SVT. Firstly a little about my condition. I've had daily episodes of SVT (usually around five or six episodes a day) for as long as I can remember and I'm now on a waiting list to have catheter ablation. I also suffer with very pronounced ectopic beats which

Bisoprolol
I've just seen a private cardiologist in Sheffield. Told him that Bisoprolol does not agree with me, makes me very depressed, even suicidal. Cardiologist is steering me towards catheter ablation but I'm not keen and don't want to be bullied into this. I would prefer a pacemaker but my cardiologist says

Saw my EP last Thurday
Sorry for the long post here, but a lot to say I saw my EP last Thursday, which is the first time because up until now I have seen a registrar each time I went, and he was very pleasant, and as he read my notes, I said persistent asymptomatic AF, he looked and said “how do you know you are asymptompatic

Laser Balloon Catheter Ablation .
I am going into hospital this Sunday to have my laser balloon catheter ablation procedure ! I would be interested to hear from anyone else who has had this with regard to how it goes . I was only diagnosed with AFib a couple of months ago . I had previously had a few episodes over a couple of years

severe groin pain
Hi all. This is my second post/question. I've had AV node ablation 5 days ago. Yesterday I went out to see my GP. Following this I went to the shops. When I got home I felt ok. I then decided to lie down and when I got up for dinner I've felt severe groin and leg pain. I took paracetamol but didn't seem

Post pacemaker implant and AV node ablation
Hi all! I am new to this forum. I think I have always had atrial fibrillation but it has become prominent last year where I became more aware of my symptoms. I've been on a number of medications such as Bisoprolol, Digoxin and Warfarin but it seems the AF is not being controlled so I was then referred

One Month Post RF Pulmonary Vein Ablation
I had a successful radio frequency catheter ablation on the 9 July 2014 at Bart's Hospital. Dr Mark Earley was able to isolate 3 of my 4 pulmonary veins. There's a 1 in 4 chance that the one vein he could not isolate turns out to be a trouble maker. However I am optimistic that I will stay in sinus

Is there any meetings in the West Midlands would love to meet local people with my condition.
Feeling a little down. Just had 3rd catheter ablation 3 weeks ago, still get so tired and sometimes very breathless even walking up the stairs, I've recently had a chest infection and now got a throat and ear infection as well, what can I do to get more energy, I've also started to do gentle exercises

Mini maze proceedure.
Hi everyone Not posted for a while, was hopeful that the last ablation in late April was going to be successful but no the dreaded beast has won again, even through 200 mg of Amiodarone a day. The palpitations are back. I've now been referred to the cardiac surgeons for a mini maze cryo proceedure by

I had a catheter ablation at the beginning of June last year for AF ,AT and atrial flutter . I had a follow up at 3 months and 6 months.
Is that it? Or should I expect other check ups ? I only ask because my local hospital (which is not the one I had the ablation at) has lost my notes on 2 previous occasions so if other appointments are needed I will request them. Fi

Increased heart rate 3 months after ablation
Hi all. I had a successful catheter ablation in February. Following it, I no longer had a heart flutter, and my AF had also gone. My pulse was down to 55-60 bpm and I felt well. However, about 3 months following the ablation, my pulse has gone up to approx 100bpm, regularly. I saw my GP last week, who

Just diagnosed on Thursday with Afib after second cardiac ablation for SVT
I had my second ablation for SVT on Thursday and have been diagnosed with AF among other things. I also have an autoimmune disease, liver disease (NASH) and a few other things. The Cardio now wants to put me on Flecainide and Diltiazem. I go back to see him on the 2nd where we will have the discussion

Does anyone have atrial fibrillation?
I was diagnosed with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF) last August, at a time when I was on the waiting list for thyroid surgery. Since then I had several episodes of AF (lasting for six to twelve hours on average). Been taking flecainide for a while and recently also Dilzem. Waiting for catheter ablation
