General anaesthetic
Due to undergo an
endometrial
ablation
under general anaesthetic. (Hopefully to help address chronic iron deficiency anaemia) Aside from having my b12 jab afterwards as opposed to before....anything else I should be aware of in relation to general anaesthetic?

Cardiac Ablation
So, after having a reveal device fitted I was told I'd not have to see my cardiologist unless something was picked up.......that day came and I saw him last week. Since having the reveal device fitted (for racing HR and palpitations) my heart has "paused" twice, once for 4 seconds and once for 9 seconds

Atorvastatin and Afib
Hi everyone, this is my first Post on here, however, I find all your comments so comforting. I had my first AF Catheter Ablation in March this year. I had 8 wonderful weeks post Ablation and then AF crept back occasionally afterwards, which is normal thanks to all your advice on here and the post Ablation

Svt’s and Afib
I had cardiac ablation March 2018. Two week heart monitor showed some Svt’s and some Afib. On medication and blood thinner. What heart medicine do you take to control Svt’s? I have had multaq, tioksen, amiodarone, flecainide. I now am on metropolol, fosinopril, and eliquis. I have read on this

Catheter ablation
Hi. I have just had a catheter ablation for the first time, which was on Monday the 17th of September. I'm led to believe that my palpitations could carry on for a while after my procedure as i have woken up this morning with them and still have them 7 hours later. I'm not going to build my hopes up

Due for an EP Study and Catheter ablation, And I'm kind of terrified!
Ok so to cut a long story short, After being diagnosed last week with Wolf-Parkinsson White syndrome, The doctor has put me in to have and EP Study and catheter ablation in 4-6 weeks. I'm so worried as I just feel it's all going to go wrong, And I'm terrified of hospitals to boot. I'm still not sure

Bisoprolol
Hi there, I was diagnosed earlier this year with SVT (a form of arrythmia) and have tried having the cardiac Ablation procedure which unfortunately did not work. They have now suggested I start on a low dose of Bisoprolol but I’m slightly nervous about taking it as I’m only 21 years old and of quite

Cardioversion
Hello, I am in AF constantly and have been like this for 4 weeks. I was admitted to hospital when it started and my heart was racing at 160 bpm. I commenced Bisoprolol 7.5mgs and although still in AV, beats now at 80-90. I am booked for Cardioversion in two weeks and when I attended my pre admission

Hi,Havent posted for a few months after my af took a sudden downturn. It was quite a puzzle because I could go 2/3 weeks with no problem then my heart would go haywire for 2/3 days then quiet again. My EP said in late July we will leave it a couple of months see how you go. He thought a PM was the way

Wolff Parkinson White - SVT - Untreatable.
Hi! I’m a 31 year old mum with a daughter (14) who has just had her second EP study with ablation. Sadly, this didn’t work. Her surgeon has said that it’s a complex case with her pathway running from the inside of the heart epicardially - making it virtually impossible to treat using catheter ablation

Hi all. New here! I'm 24 and was diagnosed with ventricular ectopics a few years ago as I was having over 40,000 a day which was weakening my heart. Using own heart monitor for the three months immediately after catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation
Having had my third Ablation for fibrillation yesterday which I have to be optimistic will have stopped my AF for good. I am now in a dilemma as to whether to continue to use my trusted Kardia Alivecor heart monitor: once a day or so; occasionally; or put it aside for 3 months because I know this is

AV node ablation failure?
Hi I’m new here also. I have PAF, and SSS, I had a pacemaker put in 6 years ago. Meds do not work well for me. 2 months ago I had an AV node ablation. It seems to have failed. I’m still getting Afib generated V tach and other atrial pacing. Anyone else have a failed AV node ablation?

HF and pacemaker
Hi I was diagnosed with HF (with an EF of 25%) and LVSD late last year which is thought to be a consequence of a high ectopic burden. I had an ablation a couple of months ago but it was not successful in stopping the ectopics. I am now awaiting a biventricular pacemaker and subsequent AV node ablation

Cardiac Ablation 6/5/18
I am happy to say that the Cardiac Ablation 60 days ago went well and I have had only a few short periods of abnormal rhythm having worn a Holter for 10 days after the first month. My cardiologist is please with my progress. I feel great except I am having numbness of my feet but only when I sit too

Long story short I had an
endometrial
ablation
in January, thought that was it done and dusted only to have 3 weeks of severe pain and antibiotics as one infection after another. Was re-admitted to hospital and had a series of test done....
