AFIB after Catheter Ablation

Ectopic beats after AV node ablation .....I'm worried.
I had an AV model ablation in January after a year of failed procedures to sort out permanent AF. I thought I was sorted as my heart has been beating regularly thanks to the pacemaker and I haven't been at all concerned..... until now. I've started getting pauses, feels like missed beats. I phoned the

When is AV Node ablation the answer?
I have permanent AF. An attempt at ablation failed because my right atrium is enlarged and it was not possible to get a catheter through the OS from the right atrium and into the left. My EP initially suggested an AV node ablation but then, without telling me the reason decided not to, saying that it

I have had three afib ablations. All three helped for 6 - 12 months, then rhythm out again. They are looking to do a fourth. Medications don't work. Meeting with my electrophysiologist next week. Trying to make the decision between doing another catheter ablation or pace & ablate ?

History of Paroxysmal A.Fib.
Hi, I was diagnosed with A.fib in 2002. Since then I have had 3 failed ablations. I had a pacemaker in 2011. In 2016 I was due to have a hip replacement. There was a big fuss about doing it in case I went into Afib and unfortunately I gave in to having an A.V node ablation. No more pain from hip.

AV node ablation - is sport still possible?
I am in the "shall I shan't I have the Ablate and Pace" mode. I need to be sure I can continue to ride my bicycle ( I live in a very hilly area and before this AF occurred I would average 30 miles a day) and also kayak. I was reading some comments which say that the pacemaker does respond to the demands

Pacemakers and Golf
I had a pacemaker fitted about 18 months ago and an AV Node Ablation 6 weeks ago. Is there any reason why I cannot get back on the golf course. I am worried that the action of swinging the club could adversely affect the pacemaker wires. Is there any golfers in the forum who can comment on this?

I'm new here
Last 5th July 2018 I had a Pacemaker implanted and next 10th August 2018 I am to have the second procedure, AV Node Ablation. In 2000 I had a Mechanical Mitral Valve installed and since then have had problems with AFib. There were 6 successful Cardio Versions, successful for awhile anyway. My cardiologist

Sharp back pain
Hi All: I have my catheter ablation surgery May 1st. June 1st I tried to mildly exercise but experienced sharp back pain and a heavy chest. Okay. Just a month..maybe too soon. I tried again on July 1st and had the same thing. It was an even milder workout than before. Once again, really sharp back pain

Thinking of a Cardiac Ablation
I’ve been reading quite a bit from people who have had or are thinking of Cardiac Ablation. I just want to add my 2 cents. I had my Ablation on June 18,2018. The Doctor said it went perfectly. 2 days later I was easily walking up/down stairs two Fridays later I was on the tennis court and the next day

Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome
Hi folks - so I was diagnosed with Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome almost 10 years ago. Never had any issues since. Negligible Afib (if any at all) after doing these 2 things...
A couple of years ago I had a catheter ablation which was 70% successful in eliminating my Afib, which was great but slightly disappointing too. After 6 months my cardiologist said it was unlikely that it would improve further. Then I heard about Magnesium supplements and how good they were for the

Maybe I deserve all this...?
I’ve suffered a long and painful life, but for awhile I thought that had marginally improved. I’d survived two spinal surgeries, two heart valve replacements, a cardiac ablation, plus three lesser operations on my left knee and one on my right hand. I learned to walk all over again three times, and was
