Feel as if fumes are stuck in my lungs !!!
I have mild to moderate
emphysema
, not on any meds for this, and up until yesterday, have not needed any. Could this be the start of a 'next stage', or just coincidence. I am usually a very level headed person, and deal with worse health issues than this, but I know I'm not imagining it.

New Procedure for COPD/Emphysema Patients.
It works basically by realeasing trapped air which is the main reason for such discomfort in
Emphysema
. A bell shaped valve is lowered down the throat and then opened up to allow it to do its job of draining out excess air. This surgeon works at a hospital in Wales.

DWP -Say no more?? You've got to laugh?(or cry)
After a ridiculous assessment through ATOS I was classified as 5% disabled (I have asbestosis &
emphysema
and now pensioned off through ill health) I appealed last year and still awaiting a date for my appeal?

Hiya guy's, just had my FEV1check up to see how my emphysema is doing. Last time I had it done results were down again for the
3rd time since diagnosis in Jan last year. Were"232.07@64%"now down to"101.11@55%"predicted,started of at 77%predicted.Nurse said that this is not good(at 44yrs old ) & it was a large drop in a short space of time. Now this means absolutely nowt to me(just thick)bit she also said if it continues to go

No fibrosis but emphysema instead
Never thought I would feel relieved for a diagnosis of
emphysema
(albeit mild) but it is much better than the fibrosis I feared. I have to go back but I am very much relieved. I do feel for all people out there who are living with lung conditions and hope for the best for everyone.

No fibrosis whoohoo! Never thought I would be so glad to be told I had emphysema not fibrosis. It feels like I have been given my life back
Well that was today and I never thought I would be grateful for a diagnosis of
emphysema
. I have been living with the spectre of fibrosis and a prognosis of 2-5 years survival. The consultant didn't know how the radiologist saw fibrosis?
