Has anyone experienced their GP over ruling hospital pain managememt plan..?
I was diagnosed with
Emphysema
in 2010. I am not on any medication of any kind. I don't have asthma or any other breathing condition. I am a keen hill walker and regularly tear up and down the national cycle routes on my beloved mountain bike...I am apparently very unlucky.

Good afternoon, lovely weather today. Going to try and get out in the garden. Still on a downer, hopefully the weather will lift my mood!!!!
Since my scoliosis has got worse and being diagnosed with
Emphysema
, I can't cut the grass or hedge anymore. Doing the weeding, I have to sit down to do it and use a trowel. Sometimes I find it hard to adjust to situations but I will keep going as there are people in worse health than me.

I suffer from
Emphysema

who has recovered from emphysema or lived over 10 years since diagnosis and still maintains an active life?
I am the primary caregiver of my 1 year old son and I was recently diagnosed with early stage
emphysema
. My lungs are running at 80% of expected capacity and I have some ongoing difficulty in breathing. I want to live long enough for my son to know his dad, as I never knew mine.

How do I apply for a blue badge???
With my
Emphysema
and scoliosis I find it difficult getting out and about. My daughter drives so she could take me out shopping etc and be able to park in a disabled parking space. It would make life abit easier.

Good morning, I don't know what to do anymore.!!!! Feel like giving up. Specialist says 1 thing and the doc says another!!!
I got diagnosed with mild
emphysema
and bronchiectasis last year, but the doc says its asthma. Lately I've been waking up in the morning and my throat is full of mucus. I've been to the doc and he prescribed a nasal spray which you use once a day .

Had phoned call about my ESA reconsideration, was on phone for over hour and half. Is that a good or bad thing???????????
Since January my
Emphysema
has got worse so I'm seeing my specialist about this, he reckons its all the stress I've been under, so he is going to carry out some more tests to see what's what.

COPD and Hyperinflated Lung's or as radiologist like to say Long Lungs
Static hyperinflation is caused by a decrease in elasticity of the lung due to
emphysema
. The lungs exert less recoil pressure to counter the recoil pressure of the chest wall, resulting in an equilibrium of recoil forces at a higher resting volume than normal.

Good morning, I'm new to this forum. I suffer a range of things, from scoliosis and emphysema to depression and panic attacks.!!!!!!
I've suffered ill health for years, it all started with the depression from a child (being brought up by abusive parents), then being diagnosed with scoliosis etc and then the panic attacks came. I would be out and someone would approach me and I would just loss it, I thought nothing of it for yrs and
