Side effects of empagliflozin/jardiance for high blood sugar of the liver?
I have been using empagliflozin/Jardiance for high blood sugar 88, when tested for diabetes 2 been taken off metformin which I have been on since March 2020, worry that my high blood sugar level is too high, despite loosing two and a half stone, so cholesterol is minimum? On empagliflozin for five weeks

Hi This is my first post. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice about taking berberine with levothyroxine. I am currently taking 100mcg of levo daily. About 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes which I try and control with a low carb diet. However my blood sugar seems to be rising

Tips for Xeloda
Mom is to start Xeloda next week . Looks like 1500 morning and 1500 night . I think that’s correct. She’s also on metformin right now from the anfintor and Faslodex spiking her sugar. She’s been off anfintor a week now but still doesn’t feel great . Awful taste in her mouth and not a great appetite

Metformin and rosuvastatin
It is hard to find a report/article on Metformin's possible positive association with PC that is not full of medical speak. How does anyone know if their NKX3.1 is low or high? 3 years ago I was diagnosed with unfavorable Gleason 7, with an initial psa of 6.4. Three months later I had an RP and have

I have a profile in advanced prostate cancer. When I set it up I didn't realize there was more than one prostate cancer network/forum. People in the advanced prostate form suggested I join this one. It's been awhile, but here I am. I'm a 63 year old who had an RP in March 2021. So far my psa tests have

Metformin seems to work, but for patients in active surveillance
https://www.cuimc.columbia.edu/news/diabetes-drug-prostate-cancer-columbia-study-provides-clarity maybe too late for mCRPC, but it could still be helpful

Metformin
I was diagnosed with diabetes 23 years ago. At some point I was popped on to metformin. It caused lactate acidosis so they reduced it - still felt exhausted etc.. Anyway I had to have a major operation and was taken off it. I was kept off it due to the need to be resuscitated during the operation. That

covid
I have been taking a bunch of drugs for five years since my heart attack. Now I have tested positive for covid. My wife says she recalls the cardiologist once telling me that if I suffered covid then I should stop taking one of these drugs but does not recall which. I am hesitant to bother the cardiologist

First Post
Hello, First post here, but, I do post elsewhere on HU in heart forums. After reading other posts, I suppose I have a question and curious as to if or when a kidney specialist would become involved in someone's treatment? I'll readily admit I'm a bit ignorant on kidney matters, the heart is probably

Taking Jardiance for high blood sugar, have diabetes 2, but cholesterol and weight acceptable, blood sugar count 66, urine UNACCEPTABLE!!
I have had diabetes2 since March 2020, lost 35 pounds, [due to PC "charade" from June 2022 as added an detail🙄], have "acceptable" diet now sorted out👍 Jardiance since August 2023 for high blood sugar from 88, but bladder unreliable 🥶😖Have stopped Metformin taking from March 2020 to August 2023.

Metformin Use and the Risk of Myeloproliferative Neoplasms in a Danish Population Based Cohort
I am very curious if any MPNérs are using Metaformin and what effects they are experiencing on their MPN... See: In this study we found an inverse association between MT use and risk of MPNs indicating a potential protective effect of MT on the development of MPNs. The protective effect was most pronounced

Hello, About 8/9 years ago I was told I had PCOS, just one ovary, it never massively effected me maybe only with weight gain, and some irregular periods, mostly just a longer cycle of around 35 days. I eventually went on the pill, which regulated my periods, and then coming off them I was still very
