FWIW, my mum took high dose metformin for 10 years for her type 2 diabetes. Apart from it giving her sickness and diarrhea, she developed ovarian cancer which eventually killed her.

I’ve been taking it for nearly 10 years now per Snuffy Myers, it not only may help in the cancer battle but it also helps prevent metabolic syndrome in men on long term ADT.

valid question but the metformin - prostate cancer theory's been around for some time. This study is unique in that it isolated a biomarker that showed a direct correlation. I think that's a first. Anyway, the guy got a grant. Clinical trials may come soon. I didn't see a mention of those but the repurposing of already approved drugs shortens any time to SOC if those drugs prove out.
