Story of Triumph: Physical Appearance Does Not Define

Have you ever judged a book by its' cover? Or maybe, judged someone by their appearance? The outside appearance does not show exactly who they are or what they have been through.

Kealee shares her story of triumph and how, even though she may "look" put together and fine, at one time she wasn't. Kealee suffered a terrible car accident and was left with permanent injuries and PTSD. But with the help of her therapist and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), she has found healing.

Yes, I am thinking the same thing as Luna Child. It’s not a crime to be sexy but come on, why don’t you just have a girl with a regular shirt on???

I have to add to the others comments. I was quite taken aback by the photo.

I agree. We all have a story and some are more tragic that others.

I didn't expect to see the photo when I opened the post.

She's a beautiful woman. I feel sad that she endured some trauma that changed her life.

I think back to back with the surfing post is one issue. This post is not locked which is another issue.

The article would have been a learning experience for those that chose to read it but the photo really didn't need to be shown.

Thank you Luna.

I didn't read it either. I was too upset by the photo.

My hope is the woman was able to overcome and move on with her life. That's the goal for all of us that have been traumatized. I'm sure it's a very inspiring story of her strength and motivation to get her life back.

We are all warriors here:)

I have read the story, thank you. It is inspiring. I was wondering whether EMDR is useful only for single events eg a car accident, or being in a war zone, or can be helpful for overcoming things such as anxiety caused by different things?
