EMDR treatment
I found emdr to be very helpful but it may depend on what kind of anxiety you are dealing with. Emdr is used mostly for treating trauma, ptsd and c-ptsd and helping someone process, heal and desensitize themselves from the painful memories and emotions.
I grew up having social anxiety disorder from being bullied in school and from growing up in an emotionally repressive household being punished and shamed for having normal anger, being proud of myself or trying to stand up for myself. I was originally diagnosed with GAD but still continued to have anxiety issues, then realized I was actually dealing with social anxiety and did an online program for it which helped a lot but my anxiety still continued. I them realized I was actually dealing with c-ptsd and found a therapist that specialized in treating trauma/c-ptsd and they used emdr as part of the therapy which I found very helpful. So I think investigating and understanding where and why you have anxiety can help you in getting the appropriate therapy for it. The other thing is that anxiety, no matter where it stems from, can be dealt with in the same manner which is to learn to be ok with the uncomfortable feelings/sensations and to not believe the anxious thoughts and understand it is a paradox, the more you fight it or resist it the more it persists so the key is to surrender to it and know it can't harm you, it is just a misguided way of trying to protect you. I found the DARE Anxiety book and youtube videos very helpful for doing that.
