I’m after recommendations please. So we had a neuropsychology report prepared for the criminal case injuries claim which recommends he needs EMDR trauma therapy for PTSD followed by further neuropsychology before he can consider returning to work. He has been on the waiting list for EMDR with a local trauma charity in Cornwall, however they have just come back to me say they can’t provide it as it is too specialist when considering the TBI as well. To add the that, the NHS have rejected the neuropsychology referral from the GP as they only have funding to deal with inpatient care. The local Headway in Cornwall doesn’t seem to be operating at the moment and the Devon branch can’t take on anyone in Cornwall. The only option seems to be paying for the treatment privately but as he can’t work, confirmed by the neuropsychology report, he doesn’t have the funds to do that. Im going around in circles trying to access treatment but getting nowhere. Does anyone else have experience of this? I don’t think living in Cornwall is helping.

Im sorry, I haven't got a clue, but maybe Write to your local MP and keep writing until you have a response. I'm so sorry with the situation you are in and the emotional impact it brings. I haven't seen good things about Cornwall support wise it seems further south, worst it gets.
I hope you get more responses x

Thank you that’s helpful and worth a try. I guess if awareness isn’t raised nothing will happen
