Have you taken Xarelto (rivaroxaban)?
Another request - please get in touch if you can relate to this and live in the UK: - We are looking for someone with AF who is willing to tell their story to the media and be photographed. Ideally they would be on warfarin or aspirin and have been refused a novel oral anticoagulant (dabigatran, rivaroxaban

Tests back negative.
My main worry is another pulmonary
embolism
, the consultant said I would be much more prone to another one. Why?? I do not want to appear needy but I want to be proactive about my health!

Effects of Warfarin on cholesterol
I have been on Warfarin for 9 months following a multiple bi-lateral pulmonary
embolism
. I am taking 13 mg per day. I went for a health check at my local surgery, for diabetes and cholesterol. My cholesterol results were much higher than I ever expected.

Pain rating 10 out of 10 but on the plus side see reumatologist tomorrow for the first time.
Had a realy bad day yesterday with pains in my ankles knees and back and feeling rough all day then when I went to bed to rest it got a lot worse radiating up my back and neck and omg a whopping headache from hell, to top it all off the aftermath of a pulmonary
embolism

AF and pacemaker change of mode
I had an ablation 17 months ago which worked very well. In March of this year I had a breathing problem which resulted in a course of steriods. My GP thought that my pacemaker which was paced at 60 could be partly responsible for the breathing difficulty (I thought I had a chest infection) and wrote

Query regarding taking Warfarin and Aspirin on a daily basis.
My pharmacist & my doctor have started me on 5 mg Warfarin daily but have said I will continue with my Aspirin 75mg daily for the time being until I am in my therapeutic range. My INR at the moment is 1.2 with an eventual target of 2 - 3 from which an expected first ablation will be done. The aspirin

Why your INR target range is what it is (or should be) but no mention of Hughes Syndrome/APS, Lupus or Sjögrens
Prophylaxis of DVT for hip surgery, surgery for femoral fracture; treatment of DVT, pulmonary
embolism
, transient ischaemic attacks: 2.0-3.0.

Because of procedure told to just take heparin and leave warfarin until after all of my ops over. What is the ideal inr on heparin i had tia whilst the haem dept tryng to get their heads together two years ago. And then they put me on warfarin. Mind you it was only 40mg then.

my story
i was having a bit of trouble breathing, i told the nurses, and they told their manager the head nurse, he wanted to look in my lung for what they said was a PE (pulmonary
embolism
) and the nurses wern't going to go through with it, it costs too much for the government, why look in my lung with radiation

Your opinions, am I being paranoid?
Hi again, I recently asked a question as I came off warfarin on the 15th of April after 8 months of treatment following a DVT which embolised. I ended up in hospital a week after coming off the warfarin with awful chest pain, but the scan showed no new clots and the old ones had cleared and they sent
