More Challenges to Overcome!
Everything was reasonably ok, ruling out pulmonary
embolism
, adrenal crisis, thyroid, etc, but the ECG did show my heart kept slipping into a short-lived SVT rhythm. They increased my Propranolol till I see my cardiologist next Thu. I was home by midday Wed. Oh!.....

Mixed news!
Waited 4 months for a CT scan, the results are no evidence of disease from tumour, or cervix area, and lung
embolism
appears to have resolved too. Next is a smear of my vaginal cavity (was sewn up after cervix removed) in December to double check re: the pre cancerous cells.

pulmonary embolism
good morning everyone. I’ve been poorly with a blood clot in my lung which after 4 doctors 1 paramedic 2 hospital visits they found on a chest X-ray. I had a bad chest infection too which was mimicking the clot. I’ve been on a course of blood thinners and feel completely wiped out. I had my 4 weekly

low grade ovarian cancer in the lungs
I had pleural effusion for 2 years. My doctor didn't say that the cancer could get into the lungs but it did. I received 6 rounds of weekly taxol and carbo platin but it didn't work. Now my doctor wants to stop all treatment and send me to hospice care. please let me know if you have had that experience

Short of breath
I actually went to ER a couple of weeks ago to get checked for pulmonary
embolism
at the urging of my MO. Is my shortness of breath to be expected, i.e. others experience the same thing and result of hormone therapy so I just need to deal with it? Is it possibly caused by the Megace?

Why I stopped metoprolol
“After analyzing data from 1,679 people with AFib, it was found that heart rate was NOT significantly associated with heart failure hospitalizations, stroke, systemic
embolism
, or death, suggesting that strict heart rate control might not be necessary for stable outpatients with AFib.

just diagnosed
For the past nine years I have been experiencing all the common symptoms of PV and have had three embolitic events, a DVT, Pulmonary
embolism
and a cerebral venous thrombosis. I was treated for other things and no specific blood tests were ever done.

No diagnosis - still in hospital on my 34 th day!
So to Oxford hospital to have the MRI which pointed more conclusively to the need to investigate either the possibility of a rare
embolism
or a non ischaemic event specifically Sarcoidosis.

Paradoxical Embolism
One of the tests uncovered a hole (PFO -Patent foramen ovale) and then after further investigation I was diagnosed with having a Paradoxical
Embolism
- an extremely rare event when a blood clot travels from the right to the left of your heart via the PFO ..which in my case caused me to have a heart

Effectiveness is defined as prevention of thromboembolic stroke, or systemic
embolism
". The fact that there is no reliable antidote for either is however quite concerning.

my skin? Health?
Two years ago due to pregnancy I had a pulmonary
embolism
on my left lung but other than mental health I’ve always been physically well. I’ve gained so much weight now as well. I used to be like a stick now I’ve got weight on my stomach and hips.

Newly diagnosed
I recently came back from a long haul holiday and went to GP as I was a bit breathless and thought I may have an
embolism
. They noted that my heart rate was very high and sent me to hospital. I had an ECG and they told me that I have AF and further tests also indicated that I have heart failure.

After the morning CT , I went home… had a call an hour or so later, saying I needed to go in as they’ve found a pulmonary
embolism
on my lung and it needs treating!! I had an ECG, and blood tests..

Taper Advice after too fast a taper
I presented to the ED of our local hospital and they checked me out for an pulmonary
embolism
and any other cardiac nasties. Everything tested fine. I returned home after 5 hours and am now left with the dilemma of what to do next.

it feels like I'll never get better
I went to the ER several times and got tested for pulmonary
embolism
, blood tests, sed rate tests, anaemia, etc. But none of these were positive. I used my Ventolin constantly, but it didn't help in the slightest.
