Where could I get a genetic test done for B12 non absorption please?
I am coeliac but have been oob a strict gluten free diet for years. But although blood tests for B12 come back normal or sometimes over normal, I have the symptoms of low b12. I already have the Gio2 gene from both parents. Also another one from each that makes me prone to certain cancers. So I wonder

Current guesses (borrowed from several articles, papers, and studies). I'm seeing a pattern. Comments?
Over the last few months, I've been noticing some trends, and as I spent another nearly sleepless night reading and watching videos, some of the pieces seem to be fitting together. In short, it seems that more and more theories and studies are focusing on mitochondria. In particular, a "biochemical defect

I just had a call from Gp reception and told the GP wants to reduce my thyroxine from 125mcg to 100mcg. My TSH level is 0.06 and free thyroxine is 26, I have asked for a copy of results

My GCA/LVV experience
My GCA/LVV experience is a warning that the disease does not always present in the typical way we are alert for. I had headaches but no jaw claudication, no tongue pain, no eye symptoms, particularly light flashes in one eye. I had, had fairly typical PMR for 4 years, predictable, bilateral pains in

Still learning!
A few weeks ago I was in such extreme pain I felt forced to contact 111 and 2 marvellous paramedics ultimately gave me a thorough examination. In my mind my symptoms pointed to a recurrence of dilated bile duct or gallstones, with which the paramedics agreed. A follow up with my GP a couple of days

Midgut malrotation
I had HIDA scan done for my gallbladder. In addition to the findings for gallbladder, report noted āmidgut malrotationā. Doctor has asked for Ct scan to confirm. From what I have read online it sounds scary. Itās very rare in adult. Can anyone provide some insight on this?

Gallstones
Does anyone know how long the wait is for gallstones surgery? I'm 19 and have been struggling with server pain for over 9 weeks. I have my bloods booked and a ultrasound to confirm as I was first diagnosed with a stomach ulcer. I have a 10 week old baby and I'm terrified to get the pain when he needs

Hi, just want to mention that I fought with my gallbladder this week and I believe the Hospital won the lottery with my money but that's another story in America, two trips to an Emergency Room and One stay of two days to get gallstone removed and only $13,000, no insurance so they make it cheaper than

Carbs and thyroid
sorry, none of you seem to have understood my question. I am not talking about low carb diets at all. I am asking if a high carb diet will cure an underactive thyroid in a person who is not on medicatrion. If so, where is the research and evidence and why don't endos, GPs etc. suggest adding extra

Gallbladder Op
Just wondering if anyone has had a gallbladder op recently. Iāve been on the list since November 2020. Gallstone now 80mm and common bile duct affected. Sick of not being able to eat properly and the fear of pain returning. Iām in Wales. Anyone been successful being seen?

Which Levothyroxine Brand?
Hi all, Finally getting somewhere after going round in circles for months, I now have a prescription for Levo. Is there a brand better suited for people with Cow's Milk intolerance? Do you know whether the lactose in some brands would affect me, or likely to be ok given lactose is the sugar rather the
