What is wrong with me
Hi...I'm desperate for answers at the moment, as I'm in a really bad way with some really confusing health problems. If anyone can help me to shed any light on all of this, I would be so grateful as I have no idea where to turn next for answers. I have been unwell on and off for years (the last year

Dancing on the brain
Some time ago I went for a 24 hour EEG test and actually managed to get the results. My wife read them out and apparently I have a high number of
Lambada
waves over my eyes. :-) She should have said Lambda waves but on a grey, Friday morning, latino dancing is quite amusing

Hi, I have reheumatoid arthritis, Fibromyalgia, deafness and dodgy hips. I am finding this heat tough (it's 22 degrees C here. Do other people find the heat makes them go a bit peculiar? I keep thinking I am about to have a heart attack. It's something I seem to be getting obsessed about. I have

Migraine and Gabapentin
Hi all. I've been suffering from daily headaches, some being more like migraines. Some history: for many months now suffering with dizziness, blurred vision and headaches. Forgetfulness confusion. I'm on levothyroxine to treat my hypothyroidism. The doctor had a MRI scan done back in November and they

Partial results from 3 day ambulatory EEG..
Hello all. I am sitting here sleepless at 3 am after a night filled with seizing (15 times) with thoughts of some of the results I received last night. I have mixed emotions about it really. It was just short and sweet, but I appreciate my Neuro sending me an email to let me know that she finally

An American Cousin named Cheryl
I'm 60 years old, living in Anchorage, AK and doing quite well. Unlike many dealing with epilepsy, I am recently diagnosed with it (2015). My neurologist found my epilepsy to be a relatively rare transition from severe migraines to absence seizures to tonic clonic seizures. When I described finding myself

Seizure?
Good morning, I have been diagnosed with functional movement disorder. Last Thursday I started having a seizure like episode that my wife saw. She is a nurse and took me to the ER and I was unresponsive for about 2 hours. I had an eeg performed and during the flashing light my body convulsed and heart

Undiagnosed since 2014 - new here!.. maybe
Hey guys, So I've written before in the ehlers-danlos community, and to be honest for the past few months I've been trying to ignore my brain. However, these past few days my comprehension is horrendous, I'm constantly feeling like I'm forgetting something, and I just feel the complete brain fog works

non epileptic seizures
Hi my daughter has tuberous sclerosis and epilepsy. She has just been told by a consultant neurologist that a seizure captured on camera while having an EEG was not epileptic as the EEG was normal and because the seizure looked non epileptic. is it possible to have normal EEG during a seizure?

'Hello, I'm new here' - RAS 14 month old recent diagnosis - should we insist on EEG or other tests rather than accepting the diagnosis
My granddaughter has recently been diagnosed with RAS by a Paediatrician at Poole Hospital. When we saw him she had had four blackouts spanning the course of a few months, and they had all been triggered by sudden pain from falling awkwardly or bumping herself - the first one was very frightening, she

Blood clots
For the past week I've been experiencing pain in my calf and behind the knee, due to some research I convinced myself it was a blood clot. I noticed a bit of a cramp in my calf a couple weeks ago which went away. Though the pain has started again last Sunday and continued through the week. Though the

Abnormal EEG
Hi all, just had an EEG and my neuro said that I have slow activity in my temporal and parietal lobes, mostly on the left. She said this is only found in certain conditions, one of which is lupus. We immediately got an MRI and thankfully no white spots. Anyone else have this? Nine years ago I was diagnosed

Brain Injury
In July 2016 I fell 8 feet and hit my head at work. This journey has effected my family and myself terribly and we feel like we aren't getting any answers. I've had CT scans, MRI, and x-rays of my head, the only thing that came back positive was the EEG. They've given me everything from Tylenol 3 to
