AF Fraud? And has anyone found UK support for Afib diet?
Well, I joined this list a couple of months ago just after my GP told me I had AF, and appreciated your responses to my posts. It turns out he was wrong and what I have is episodes lasting several days of a high burden of ectopics (with runs resulting in resting HR up to around 130bpm) mostly PACs and

Hearing heart beat loud
Hi there From last year and half I'm facing heart palpitations issues. Such as fast heart rate it happens out of blue and then gose down in 10 min tops. My main and long facing issues are hearing my own heart beats loud not fast when I'm lay down or quietly sitting down. After a meal it gets worse

apple watch 7
I just bought an Apple watch 7. The ECG shows that I am in sinus rhythm and sometimes AFIB. Majority is in Sinus rhythm. I do have afib and a stroke last December. I have changed my lifestyle and diet and lost so far 25lbs and got another 18 to go to my ideal BMI. Does the fact that the Apple watch

I'm new & need help re vasospastic angina
Hi there, I have chest pains (and left arm pain more recently) that started in Nov 21. I have done a number of tests (ECG, CT Angio, Blood Tests, Chest Xray, sonography etc.) which have been normal. The only test that showed anything was a stress ECG after which my doctor prescribed Dilitiazam and GTN

First degree AV block - can it be caused by bisoprolol?
Hi All, This morning I did a ‘random’ Kardia (6L) ECG and it came back that I was in sinus Rythm with wide QRS. It was a one off and five mins later I did another one (and many others since) and all in normal SR. I sent it off for a clinician review as I’ve been worried about it all day and they’ve come

Can 'permanent atrial fibrillation' be a misdiagnosis?
I have had paroxysmal AF since 1995 and taking sotalol (beta blocker) led a fairly normal life until 2020, when I suffered an ischaemic stroke, blamed on AF. Recently both my doctor and my cardiologist have told me I have permanent AF although there are long periods, such as this afternoon, when my

The importance of speaking to the right person & being persistent.
Well I went back into AFib 9 days after CV. Tachycardia, breathless ,light headed. I phoned the Arrythmia nurses number & was told it is a shame it didn't work but to get my Gp to do an ECG & send it to email. They would look at it & go from there.Probably decide to do a 24 monitor & see me in clinic.Waiting

So afraid
My partner possibly has AF. He’s 58, fit, normal guy. He has had high blood pressure for the past 8 years & takes ramapril which has never really brought the BP down to a normal level. Through a medical some years ago it was discovered that he had an abnormal T wave but not signs of anything else & no

Not great update
My blood pressure went sky high after cleaning my upstairs wouldn't come down. I have never had a problem. So I called ambulance went to hospital. Guess my EKG had a blip they weren't too concerned but got worse so they suggested I stay and have a stress test. They took a lot if blood. One good thing

Follow ups at local hospital after stent
Hi I had a stent fitted at St Thomas' London. Its been 6 months. I've had a telephone appointment with the cardiology team since. They have now booked me a ecg at St Thomas. I was wonder if anyone has transferred their care back to their local hospital. It's a long train journey to go just for an ecg

Ectopic Beats- Everyday, All day.
Hi, I’ve been experiencing ectopic beats everyday all day since January! I’ve been to A&E twice and had an ecg done which picked up the ectopic beat but there doesn’t seem to be any concern. I’ve gone back to the GP who has now referred me to a cardiologist but my appointment is not until 25th April.

Should I be worried?
Hi folks, I have had Atrial Fibrillation since 2009. I had my third Ablation in 2019 and although I am still in Atrial Fibrillation my symptoms are controlled with medication and I have been comfortable. Over the last couple of months, I have attended the GP with breathlessness, and generalised weakness

Pvcs all day and chest discomfort
Hi I am a 50yr old female and have had svt and ectopic beats for the last almost thirty years. My ectopic beats are all day every day and are caused by changes in air for example the wind outside windows that are open and steam from a pan or kettle. I have found them worse now than they have ever been
