I have heart failure with reduced ejection fraction -- EF at last echocardiogram 30-35. Was diagnosed following very bad brush with sepsis resulting in multiple organ failure from which I made a surprisingly good recovery and taken off specific meds after eight months. However things seem to have deteriorated recently possibly due to having had covid. New doc thinks I should be taking something but limited choice as also have ckd stage 3. He has prescribed Monosodoium Nitrate and Hydralazine. I dont like the sound of them ( I note that NICE says nitrates should not be routinely prescribed for heart failure) and don't know why he hasn't prescribed alternatives. After all many people have ckd alongside heart failure
