myocarditis or something else?
Hi, I had elevated BNP test result back in May followed by an
echocardiogram
which the consultant described as ‘not normal’. Based on my symptoms (breathlessness, chest pain, palpitations) he diagnosed myocarditis. I’m on beta blockers but the symptoms have not gone away.

Dilated Aortic root on echocardiogram
Hi all, I had a letter from Cardiologist a few months back now confirming he thinks I have pots and to start ivabradine. The letter also said I have a mild dilated aortic root. There was no explanation or further than literally just that sentence. I've no idea what this actually means? I've tried

Update 7.4
Now on for a CT Cardiac Calcium Screen, Cardiac Stress test, and
Echocardiogram
. The incidents of tachycardia have actually been decreasing but we are going to do a more thorough check of cardiac status due to the occasions unexplained mild tachypnea I have experienced recently.

permanent atrial fibrillation for two years so what now ?
I have an
echocardiogram
once a year to check my aortic and mitral valves functions ,there is some regurgitation . I walk for about 45 mins a day but am now becoming more breathless and exhausted. I had thought a pacemaker might work but this has been dismissed as not suitable.

pramipexole (containing Dopamine), can it contribute to heart regurgitation?
I recently had an
echocardiogram
after chest x-ray for breathlessness and it was thought to show an enlarged heart , but later found it wasn’t, hence the ecg. It has shown that I have some regurgitation which GP said nothing to worry about but I have read that Dopamine can be a cause of this.

Aortic regurgitation
This started in June and I got the diagnosis last week after
echocardiogram
end of Nov. Still waiting to hear from specialist - who knows how much longer that will take?

Fast-changing EF or typo?
In October in hospital my
Echocardiogram
gave me an EF of <25%, as recorded in my hospital records, obtained by a GDPR Request. 6 days later, while still admitted, a cardiac MRI found my EF was 52%.

LBBB and impairment.
One year later,
echocardiogram
showed heart is impaired. Still waiting for consultant letter to gp which will explain in more detail. I was told my heart refraction (I think he said) rate is 45%.

AFIB, Besremi refused by insurance, and more
I have another
Echocardiogram
, a CT Calcium Cardiology, and a coronary angiogram scheduled next week. Now, I'm on Flecaincide and a blood thinner (big risk with PV and AFIB for stroke or clots) and meeting with an electrophysiology doctor on February 1 to discuss an ablation or other options.

5.5 years Lupron/Zytiga, still <.01. Just a good story to share on Prostate Cancer
An
echocardiogram
shows his heart is okay too thankfully. He just had pneumonia but is recovering. He had a TURP and may need to do it again, lots of tissue. That was scary and a lot of blood for a week, but it helped. He was holding 600ml of urine after peeing(!), now is holding 290ml.

Looking for advice after recent chest pain.
I also had an
echocardiogram
done in 2020 which was normal with an ejection fraction of 65%. A few weeks ago on a slow 5K run, I felt some chest pain and a heavy feeling in my left arm. I stopped and went home.

Update 7.3 Good news this time
Will also be doing a Stress test,
Echocardiogram
, and CT Calcium Cardiology scan. Interesting to have a new symptom when the tachycardia incidents have really slowed down. We will doubtless get it all sorted. I am actually more curious than worried about it.

Paroxymal Atrial Fibrillation
I am waiting for an
echocardiogram
and a Holter monitor in the new year. It is all quite unsettling. Is there anyone out there who has experienced a similar thing. Thank you for reading my experience with PAF.

More shocking news
This appointment with the cardiologist I had an
echocardiogram
and found out I have heart failure. Damaged heart muscle. Might have had it for a long time. Total shock!! I thought I was a fit 72 year old previously never been on medication. Put on a low dose of enalapril maleate.

Recovering from Myo-pericarditis
But after having angiogram
echocardiogram
I was told this was not the case. And then MRI confirmed Myo-pericarditis. I finding things difficult. I've gone from very active to not being able to do much. Also diagnosed with Grade 2 Diastolic dysfunction.

Terrified 😢 Just looking for shared experiences.
He suggested an
echocardiogram
and I have this on Friday. I am utterly terrified. My partner thinks my anxiety is causing the symptoms but I can’t shake a horrible gut feeling that there’s something really wrong. Thanks for reading and I’d appreciate any words of wisdom.
