Arrhythmias with minimal exertion
I also had an
echocardiogram
and it showed mild tricuspid regurgitation, mild mitral valve regurgitation, and aortic valve sclerosis. My MD said that these were all normal expected age-related changes and nothing to be concerned about.

enlarged heart
When asking if results are back the receptionist gave me them and it said enlarged heart and dr just says see a cardiologist and have an
echocardiogram
. I don’t think I should have been given them without seeing a dr.

US Healthcare vs NHS
Over the next 3 months I was able to make appointments with and see my family doctor, a cardiologist, an electrophysiologist, I had appointments for a stress test, two CT scans, numerous ECGS, a Transesophageal
Echocardiogram
, and finally a Cryoablation procedure, all within a span of 3 months.

Persistent AF, Diltiazem, side effects or Menopause??
At my last call with her (1 hour) my cardiologist (who is very lovely btw) - arranged for another
echocardiogram
as my last one was a year ago (I have no other co-morbidites and my heart was all clear last year)... not yet had those results.

head injury
He is recovering well from this but is still waiting for cardiology tests, 24 hour tape,
echocardiogram
His heart rate is being kept stable by 5he bisoprolol and is back on edoxaban. ( about 60 bpm) Has anyone been through similar experiences?

Rather scared. What does this mean?
I now have to wait for an
echocardiogram
. Is the ejection fraction going to be lower because I have af? My fitness levels are improving little by little. I walked 3/4 of a km tonight.

AF and leaking heart valves.
I have just received the results of my
echocardiogram
which show that I have a leaking Tricuspid valve ( mild - moderate) and mild leakage in the mitral and aortic valves.I have had AF for many years now and I just wondered how one problem might affect the other?

Small sharp pains when heart beating
went really white no colour, I went home and phoned the doctor for some advice they think the small sharp pains might be heart related and the head sweating and confusion is because I have been overdoing things, They asked if I wanted to Mark an appointment to see doctor I said not because I had a

AV Node Ablation and Pacemaker
In the meantime he has doubled my digoxin dose and I will be repeating the 24 hour ECG monitoring and the
Echocardiogram
at a different hospital where he practices. The ablation and pacemaker procedure has a long waiting list. He mentioned 2 years, 🙄 That would make me 76, possibly 77 years old!

Rheumatic Fever.
When I was 14 I had the above when got soaked in a tent overnight at a camp. I am now 68 and till 6 months ago had no issues, although left with a murmur at 14. Suddenly with symptoms of light headiness and some breathlessness I collapsed. Post extensive tests I know have to have my aortic valve replaced

Imbalance Issues from CLL treatment?
Hello, I live in Minnesota and was diagnosed with CLL in Oct 2022 and my oncologist at the Masonic Cancer Center put me on the O and V treatment which started in Dec 2022. I finished the O in May 2023 and the V in Dec 2023. Latest blood test has all my counts in the normal range except Abs Lymphocytes

Exercise makes my AF worse (part 2)
Doc didn't want to tweak my meds - he said my consultant could do that after I've had the 48hr Holter I'm due for on Tuesday (and at some point an
echocardiogram
he's booking me in for). Fingers crossed we may know more then.

Beginning To Despair.....
She has a background of hypertension and hypercholesterolaemia and I note a previous
echocardiogram
in December 2018 showing preserved LV function. Due to her being declined again for surgery, we proceeded to perform coronary angiography today as an assessment of peri operative risk.

Hubby and his heart
My husband had bad flu over Christmas and since then has had huge issues with breathlessness, bloating, fluid retention and fatigue. He's had ECG's, MRI , chest x-ray and bloods. This has shown up that he has fluid around his heart as it's just not pumping properly, is severely anaemic and his vitamin
