MRI results…how long to wait?
Hi guys, hope you’re all okay. So I had my pelvic MRI scan on Monday, it was awful as I was in the scanner for an hour and 10mins 😥. I stayed strong and got through it though as I know it was important. Just wondered how long you’ve had to wait for results (with nhs). My letter said up to six weeks.

pigment dispersion syndrome
Hi lovely people 😀 I have EDS, not lupus, but many of my symptoms are similar I’ve recently been dxd with pigment dispersion syndrome by an ophthalmologist at our regional eye hospital. It happens when pigment from the iris sheds onto other parts of the eye, causing inflammation and vision problems

Short Synatchen Test
Quick question, could someone help me with some vague results from the hospital. Have been taking Pred for a long time but with the help of Methotrexate injections I am down to 3 mgs (hurray). I had a short synatchen test a couple of weeks ago and Rheumatology Nurse rang me and babbled very quickly

New to Tinnitus
Hi there, I have for the past 3-4 weeks experienced ringing in my ears. It first originated in my right ear due to ear wax blocking the canal. When I had a removal procedure (irrigation on my right ear), it was found that my left ear had a blockage as well. This side was microsuctioned (due to no softening

Tinnitus stops for a few days after flying
Hello, I've suffered from tinnitus for seven years and was wondering if anyone has had similar experience in relation to being exposed to changes in pressure. My T presents as a variable low frequency tone/vibration, it seemed to start after I did Helicopter Underwater Escape Training for work in 2017

Drugs Tariffs in news
Short item on news today about how pharmacies are “subsidising” prescription costs. No doubt the reason for pharmacists not having items in stock. One pharmacist was losing£1500 per month and he explained that offering other services such as injections, ear wax removal etc was the means of making a living

musician - hearing loss after surgery
Hi, I am a 49 year old musician and I was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma in December 2023 and had to have surgery a few weeks later due to the size of the tumour and how ill I was. Since then I have been in recovery trying to get back all my functions (balance, stamina etc). Unfortunately the tumour

Has anyone succeeded using bluetooth microphone to amplify patients voice so it can be heard on bluetooth hearing aids?
Hi, My wife (78) was diagnosed with PSP about 30 months ago and is in slow decline. Her voice is getting weaker and I am finding it difficult to hear what she says, much of it is mumbled. My hearing aids are bluetooth enabled, so I wondered if anyone had managed to amplify a patient's voice using

Newbie, tinnitus or not?
Hi Newbie here, I think I have tinnitus but have not been to the GP as I feel since I’ve hit 50 I seem to have one thing after another so don’t want to bother them again. I have this high pitched sound in I think just the left side/ear. I can only describe it as Eeeeeee. I was told by the nurse

pulsatile tinnitus
hi I’ve had pulsatile tinnitus for almost 2 years. It came on all of a sudden not long after I’d had covid and had been a bit unwell with migraine for a week or so. A nurse said I had an ear infection but antibiotics made no difference. I was quickly sent for an MRA which was clear. I also had an ENT

tinnitus on rapid head rotation
Does anyone else experience a sound/vibration when shaking their head quickly from side to side? What I hear is a vibration of frequency about E flat (about 610Hz)? I have recently had an attempt at micro suction to remove ear wax and this has only started since then and I am wondering whether there
