Menieres Diagnosis
After having a couple of vertigo attacks and continued daily dizziness and nausea I spoke to my ENT consultant on a phone consultation He seems to think I might have menieres and when I asked what test they would do all he said was a hearing test. Surely there are more tests than that . Is this right

To syringe or to microsunction
Hello all. I have a dilemna. Big build up of wax in one ear. Tinnitus louder. Hearing aid uncomfortable. I can either have my ear syringed at the Docs or microsunctioned at Specsavers. Neither ideal. I just don't know which way to go. Any thought s would be very welcome.

Azilect
I’ve been on Azilect for the past 3 years. During this period I also took Rasagiline for 2 months with bad side effects. Now out of the blue the doctor has said he’s never prescribed Azilect and I have to take a generic Rasagiline. Even though I have side effects from it. There reasoning is “It will

Acupuncture
I am hopefully starting ICSI in a months time subject to bloods, more consents, and drugs being issued in time. My question is, I have read acupuncture should be done for 3 months prior to treatment (I didn’t know it was going to go ahead that’s why I’m late) is it still worthwhile doing now? And if

The Value of a Good Compounding Pharmacist, a True Story
Although I generally write about supplements, sometimes supplements are simply not enough and prescription meds can be beneficial in different forms that doctors and patients are sometimes not aware of. To ignore that fact is folly on the patient's part in my opinion. I am writing this true story to

Please can someone help me get to the bottom of what's going on with my latest blood results? I had a thyroid test 2 days ago: Current dose: 75mcg mon-fri and 50mcg at the weekends TSH: 10.1 (0.4-4.2) T4: 14.2 (12-22) I was advised by an Endocrinologist to tweak the dose to 75/50 as I would like to

Started eating fava beans again, feeling much better!
I recently found a way to get these tasty peeled and steamed beans directly from Melissa’s Produce since local supermarkets no longer carried them. I eat them every day, cold, in a salad or smoothie, and I’m noticing less extreme off times and fatigue. C/L medication remains at 25-100 three times daily

Acupuncture success anyone?
Hi all, has anyone benefitted from acupuncture? I had my first session last week, mostly on one especially painful arm and one leg. I know we obviously hurt all over, but I'm starting small. 🙄 I had bad headaches and nausea that evening, but prepared to do a 6 week course if it will help?

I even felt proud of myself for overcoming my anxiety and spending 1 hr 10 mins having an MRI scan for my spine (scoliosis has worsened

Massage During IVF
Hiya, Its my first cycle of IVF, its a long cycle. I am really stressed, i cant seem to find an acupuncturist at the moment, but my normal beautician does massages. I was wondering, is that ok, or are massages, like so many other things, terrible for IVF? Do i just need to ask them to not touch my stomach

Unable to cope with menieres
I have had such fullness in my right ear, giddyness when talking, tinnitus and just general wooziness. I take cinnarizine 30 x 3 a day. I feel it just isn’t helping me stay in control of any symptoms and my whole life, relationships etc are affected by this as I’m constantly panicking over how I feel

Acute triiodothyronine treatment and red blood cell sedimentation rate (ESR) in critically ill COVID-19 patients: A novel association?
This seems to have a fundamental importance irrespective of its possible relevance to Covid-19. High NK cells and high cytokines - help, explanations, advice?!
Hi, I'm a 38 year old Low AMHer with two failed rounds. I've just got my results from the Chicago test - positive for NK Cells (21.4), and both inflammation markers high (43.2% and 23.9%). My doctor says I need medicinal mushrooms to reduce inflammation, should re-start acupuncture, and will need steroids
