Hello ladies,
I have started fertility acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine after my BFN. Has anyone had any success with this? ....🤷😍😍
Hey, I started acupuncture before my first IVF cycle (originally to balance hormones). I continued all throughout my IVF and had it before transfer and then straight after too. And I’m pleased to say that it was successful and I’m now nearly 16 weeks.
My friend also had one round without and one with and the one with was successful. She swears acupuncture was the reason.
Hope that helps. Good luck ⭐️
Hi Emmili. I think you may find that accupuncture could help you. Before embarking on Chinese medicine, I would check with your clinic, as some herbs etc can interact with medication, and make sure they are registered p[ractitioners Good luck with whatever you try. Diane
Hi Diane, thank you. I won't start another ivf cycle until June , so am taking the herbs and will stop before by next cycle. My clinic does a lot of fertility research. This month am starting the PRP ( ovarian rejuvenation)study with my clinic. That will take about 4 or 5 weeks of monitoring. The accupunture and herbs can also help with natural conception....who knows🤷, nothing to lose. Keeping fingers crossed.🤞..... Pray for me 🙏
Hi Emmeli, can I ask what country your clinic is in? I wasn't aware that any clinic in the UK did PRP? thanks
Hi lewis, am in the US. I live in the Washington DC area and my clinic is in New York 3 hours away.
Ah, I see, thanks Emmili, that makes sense. We were considering PRP recently, and checked out a few US clinics that do it as well (as my husband's American), but it's on the waiting list for now, would be very interested to hear how it goes for you! best of luck! And sorry, on the subject matter of your post - I did acupuncture for my second round, which failed, but the acupuncture was really relaxing and it has previously helped to balance my cycle (in conjunction with diet and stress changes). We have an appointment with a TCM practitioner next week as well, so I'm at the same stage as you with herbs!
Lewis am sorry about your failed cycle. I had a failed cycle too 🤦 so I understand . It can be very hard. I am also looking forward to PRP to see how it works. My husband and I are driving up to NY this Friday . My RE told me it's a 2 hour procedure then monitoring starts thereafter. It's done between day 6-11 of your cycle. I met a lady at the doctors office who said it worked for her and she had more follicles(12) in her next cycle. Will see 🤞 . Will keep you posted
Thanks so much, finders crossed for you! It really feels like PRP could be such a game-changer. And because it's relatively new (in this area), it's great to get that positive feedback from the lady at the doctors office! Hope it all goes well for you!
Yes Lewis , My RE told me that PRP looks promising. So many studies here in some US clinics, it has even worked for menopausal women. Through the PRP procedure, they started seeing their periods again and had egg collection. I believe I will pay a small fee for the study. Oh well!. Good to try especially if you want your own eggs. 🤞.🤷
