Pregabalin + Ropinirole or Opioids
I wonder what the thoughts are of our experts on here as to whether to stick to this regime, or "move away at all costs from
dopamine
agonists, no matter how small the nightly amount" and go down the opioid route. I would be grateful for any comments. With warm regards to all, Sally

Sleepy kidney
I spent a week in ITU and was hooked up to
dopamine
for 3 weeks to help my blood pressure. My urine out has been slow, for a few days I got between 600-800ml but now am back down between 200- 300ml a day. GFR ranging between 10- 15. And creatine rising to between 350 - 400 if I don't diaylize.

Frustrated by People
I engage with the two receptionist/schedulers; with fun small talk and my extroverted personality jumps out; we joke and laugh, I get some
dopamine
and endorphins. Then I catch the eyes, one of the receptionists is looking off to the side, I don't see anyone.

Do you want you doctor to prescribe an opioid instead of DA ?John Hopkins statistics on both.
An estimated 85% to 90 % of patients with RLS will respond very well to opiates. An analysis of drug responses in RLS over a 2 to 10 year period showed that 85 percent of RLS patients who started on methadone were still on it compared to less than 20 percent of those who started on a
Dopamine
drug.

Damage to receptors? Berberine? Iron type? Three questions.
Question: is it likely that my
dopamine
receptors are damaged from the months on ropinerole? Another question: should I start taking berberine to help get them back to normal? Third question: regarding iron, I’m taking heme iron capsules every other night.

My visit to the Neurologist in the UK
She said that the
dopamine
agonists had been effective over the last two years even if they have stopped being effective now. When I mentioned the Mayo clinic algorithm she totally ignored it.

I thought it'd be worthwhile to try MP, I have got Now dopa mucuna 800 mg with 15% L-
dopamine
. Yesterday I took it at night I felt better. But tonight it's a different story. My legs feel like jelly and I Can't even sleep or move. Think I'm overdosed n having dyskinesia. My questions: 1.

Is your Parkinson's diagnosis really idiopathic? Or is there an underlying cancer/autoimmune disorder?
They may be seen in autoimmune disorders triggered by an infectious or toxic agent, as in basal ganglia encephalitis with antibodies against the
dopamine
-D2 receptors. Is Parkinson's disease really a deficiency of
dopamine
or is it an inability to utilize the
dopamine
hormone?

In plain language this means that it stimulates the growth of new
dopamine
neurons. is stimulated. New studies show that ibogaine is also interesting for the treatment of Parkinson's patients.

Clinical trial for new stem cell-based treatment for Parkinson’s disease given go ahead
The team has ‘programmed’ the cells to develop into
dopamine
nerve cell, which will be transplanted into the brains of patients to replace cells that are lost in Parkinson’s disease.

Augmentation with DAs in RLS but what about Parkinson's - A question I've pondered...
If one suffers from RLS and has taken
dopamine
agonists in the past with augmentation setting in- then develop Parkinson's, I wonder what the treatment for Parkinson's will be when/if
dopamine
agonists are the primary treatment?
