Rectal fissure - healed!
I'm not sure if this is the correct group to post in as I do not have IBS, however for 10+ years, I had a rectal fissure that just wouldn’t go away. I live in the Caribbean, have a healthy lifestyle and diet. Years ago, when first diagnosed with the fissure, I was prescribed Lidoprocto suppositories

Return to Work
Hi everyone, I am 3 weeks into a 6 week phased return to work after my heart attack in May 23. I am doing catch up training only, presently, but the thought of dealing with angry customers, is worrying me. GTN spray getting belted and that’s before taking any calls. I don’t want to jack it in. Do

So, I got my results and as I predicted, it came back with bradycardia. I'm a male, 26 yo, 74kg(160 pounds I think), caucasian. I take levothyroxine 50mg for subclinical thypothyroidism, escitalopram 20mg and valproate 500mg( for anxiety). My symptoms are classical symptoms of bradychardia, like dizziness

Can Sodium or Calcium Channel Blockers Worsen SVT?
Okay, so I have a new med that I am trying, Propafenone. I have failed Norpace and also Flecainide. The problem I am having is that it seems that these medicines are making the SVT worse. I have Atrial Tachycardia. I cannot find any information about this. Where can I get more information? My doctor

28 year old male with congenital AVS with recent mechanical aortic valve replacement with ascending aortic graft
Hi all, I have lived with my congenital AVS fairly well up to the age of 22 when I needed the intervention, which was to replace my leaky valve with a mechanical valve, along with this unfortunately I also needed an ascending aortic graft put in too due to the damage caused over the years. Ever since

Back pain plus angina
I am looking for help in distinguished chronic back pain and an angina episode.I would be most grateful for anyone's input regarding this issue. It may not seem a big problem & I am grateful that I have a gtn spray to use, but don't want to use it when its not necessary.

Hi Everyone I have moderate aortic valve stenosis and until recently was asymptomatic. Was told by GP that i have developed mild angina after some discomfort in the chest when walking briskly. He issued me with a Glyceryl Trinitrate spray which i haven't used yet as i have just backed off with the pace

Problems with stiff GTN pump action
My 90 year old mum has a GTN spray, but the last few bottles she has been given are too stiff for her to use. She says that a few years ago the spray was a different make and easier to pump [but she doesn't have the name of the manufacturer]. Has anyone else had this problem, and/or do you have any

My response to WinnieThePoo.
"You are sure it's [ALS/PD/AD] a toxic syndrome? Can you describe a mechanism of action for the disease process? You are sure it's not diet? Or stress? Of course you are sure. But unlikely to offer a viable solution to share. Meanwhile, those less blinkered [blinded by tunnel vision] research solutions

Low sodium levels in bloodwork
My husband was dx with MSA-P in 2021 with automonic dysfunction as his dominant feature. His sodium levels have been trending downward since his dx. He experiences frequent periods of confusion throughout the day and I always attributed this to severe blood pressure swings but now wonder if it is low
