Please can I ask if the District nurse can take blood tests? My husband was in hospital last Saturday with sodium levels at 125. He had a drop then sent home. Our gp has requested repeat bloods to monitor his sodium. I took him to the blood clinic and was turned away because it was full, even though they

Advise please, long flight travel with IBS
For the first time in my life I am now able to do as I please more or less (aside from a decrepit body), So, I've decided to bite the bullet and hopefully travel to Japan, a country I have long wanted to visit but flight time scares me as I hate being cooped up for hours. I don't want to spend 17 hours

gtn spray
I was diagnosed with angina a few years ago and at the prescribed GTN spray, I have to say I rarely use it partly due to the headache it causes! I also have severe COPD for which I use various inhalers, I was just wondering would the GTN spray be beneficial to me for help with breathlessness? for example

Not wanting sleep
Does anyone not want to face going to bed because waking up means immediately facing constant bathroom trips? I dread waking up as soon as I’m vertical I need to go to the toilet and after 5 or 6 times and a couple of Imodium I can finally drive to work.

Has anyone ever been abroad before and came back with diarrhea? I actually managed to get through 12 hour flights and 3 weeks in Brazil with only a couple of bad episodes .. thanks to Imodium helping me through. chronic diarrhoea 4 days.
I honestly feel like just stopping the prednisolone. It’s one thing after another. Nothing is staying in my stomach and I feel so weak. Any advice appreciated. Do I take Imodium? 🙏

Will lower dose of Nintedanib stop the terrible side effects?
After a long wait, a bronchoscopy and endless CT scans and lung function tests, I finally started on the standard dose of 2 x 150 mg Nintedanib at the end of February. The first few weeks weren’t too bad, my gut was unhappy and I experienced the expected diarrhoea. Took Imodium as advised. But then

Why do we have mutations?
Why do we all have these bone marrow mutations? It cannot all be due to family DNA bad luck. My haemo told me that he is certain that my mutation is due to exposure to Benzene in petroleum products. In effect I have been poisoned by products which were supposed to be safe. Benzene compounds are still

Thyroid Panel Questions
Hi! I have been perusing the posts here, you seem to be a knowledgable group, I am hoping you might be able to help shed some light on what my hormones and endocrine system is UP to! I don't want to overwhelm with too much history, so I will try and cut to the chase. For a number of years I took a T3

Should PPIs be stopped when stomach bugs get a grip?
Since increasing omeprazole by 10mg ( 30mg ttl ) have had mild diarrhoea the odd day or two, but now had explosive squits for 7 days. Stopped omeprazole about 5 days ago, not even getting acid reflux now, but also no appetite and whatever I eat turns to water and is expelled about 4 hours later. It's
