Hello,
My private endo has just prescribed Thybon Henning 20 which is the hydrochloride formulation of T3 as opposed to sodium. Is it ok to change formulations like this please?

Many, many members get Thybon Henning prescribed
Many people say it’s the smoothest/best
retest thyroid levels 6-8 weeks after changing
This question has been asked many times - not surprisingly!
I don't think we have ever determined any real difference. Though it might be one factor which contributes to the generally good experiences most have reported of Thybon Henning.
In terms of dose, there is effectively absolutely no difference.
I find Thybon Henning a little better, seems more effective and gentler. A pure guess but perhaps the hydrochloride releases the T3 a little more slowly. I've swapper between both formulations a number of times without problem.
after using Thybon Henning and other brands I much prefer Thybon Henning.
