Legs again.....
The
diuretic
medication has really helped to reduce the swelling in the legs and amazingly I have lost eleven pounds in weight in just 5 days.

Tests and an X-ray showed fluid on both lungs and a possible need for a blood transfusion.I had an urgent CT scan last Thursday, which confirmed this, but ruled out the transfusion.I am now on a
diuretic
to try and relieve some of the fluid. My appointment with my Oncologist has also been brought forward

Coffee vs Tea
One area this infographic does not touch is the
diuretic
or water loss effect of each. My inclination would be to think tea has a greater hydrating effect than coffee. What hot drink do you drink and why?

Tickle in the throat & cough with levothyroxine use.....
Also, he's on a
diuretic
, so he gets up to use the bathroom at least once during the night. That's when he takes his "thyroid pill". Would he be less likely to have the cough if he took it in divided doses, such as 25 mcg during the night and 25 an hour before supper?

The doctors can't figure it out
They prescribed me a
diuretic
believing that I must have some problem regulating the fluid in my vestibular system.

Cardioversion
A
diuretic
failed to cure this. Eventually I ended up in hospital and after one horrific night in the assessment ward was transferred to cardiology. After two more days where drugs could not control the heart rate, I had a cardioversion.

Oh well 3/4 ain't bad.
Someone did explain it as the caffeine being a
diuretic
makes you lose water from your blood and the thickened be blood cannot carry oxygen so quickly to your brain, hence the tiredness. It's either that or I'm totally weird. I know which one I'd go for!!!

Help please. I have an appointment with endocrinologist on Wednesday.
He told me that I should continue to carry a hot water bottle to combat my deep feeling of inner cold, and on the occasions that my legs swelled, I should take a
diuretic
. I found this less than helpful. My legs were swollen, and heavy, as were my feet, ankles and hands.

Catchup nowhere I am now if you were wondering about me. I'm still alive and kicking again.
I've been on a loop
diuretic
and also bendroflorizide which has seemed to work all day but has brought the swelling down. I've also shed all the dry skin from my body starting with the legs. They put me on digoxin, bisoperol, the water tablets, asprins and lactolose.

Fluid Balance and Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome
Cortisol causes reduction in Anti-
Diuretic
Hormone (ADH), which increases urine flow as the production of urine is not held back by ADH in the body. To put it simply, high cortisol leads to low ADH.

Betablockers and BP medication
Do you also take a
diuretic
and/or statins? I'm also seeing the cardiologist in about 5 weeks. Feeling that I could potentially be overmedicated, looking for some advice (please no advice about magnesium, potassium or other supplements!)

Diuretics
My GP wants to add a
diuretic
as my blood pressure has been going up over the last few months but I have read that diuretics can alter the electrolyte balance particularly potassium and magnesium. Does anyone have any comments or information?

My
diuretic
tablet was stopped on my last stay in hospital in Feb and now my feet and ankles swell every day. He wants me back on the
diuretic
from tomorrow. My cardiologist stopped me from taking Amiodarone last Aug, because I was so ill with it.
