Morning all

Hope you are all as well as possible this morning.

After my successful day on the medication front yesterday I had a nice evening, relaxed, chatting with Liz my partner, watching a bit of telly. Had to stay up till 10:30 for my second morphine dose so I was as close to 12 hours gap as poss. Liz is up at 5 so she was already in bed. I felt exhausted and my eyes were shutting so when it got to 10:30 I took the tablet and went to bed anticipating some much needed sleep after only getting about an hour in total of the weekend. Got into bed and was out like a light. The sleep seemed restful and I had dreams that seemed to last ages. Then I woke up thinking "that was a nice relaxing sleep" and checked the time. It was 11:23. I had had 53 minutes sleep. Occasionally nodded off for the odd 20 mins here and there until at 4:30 I got up and went for a coffee. A triple espresso latte. So after a really good day was looking forward to a good nights sleep. But not to be. Perhaps I was expecting too much.

However, I have a weird "affliction" I can drink a triple espresso, not decaf or anything like that. Then I will go back to bed after Liz leaves and I will be asleep till about 11:30-12:00. Someone did explain it as the caffeine being a diuretic makes you lose water from your blood and the thickened be blood cannot carry oxygen so quickly to your brain, hence the tiredness.

It's either that or I'm totally weird. I know which one I'd go for!!!

At least I have nothing planned for today so can rest.

Tomorrow got a job interview at 8:55 at hinchingbrooke hospital for a job on their IT help desk. I worked in IT for 30 years before redundancy from HP ( Hewlett Packard) so should have no trouble. Just dreading the "you're a bit too qualified for this post" line.

However, they've seen my CV and invited me for interview, so they must be interested. Then Korn live at Brixton academy Thursday night. An eventful week.

Anyone else got an interesting or eventful week?

Morning Peter

When I can't sleep and I've been laying awake for a long time I get up and have a coffee. Admittedly not a triple Espresso! I have managed to get back to sleep too.

I just wanted to wish you Good Luck for your interview tomorrow in case I forget later!

Hugs

Lu xx

Thanks. Not been to an interview for 2 years so brushing up on technique later. When I finally get up. Still in bed. Actually getting some decent sleep.

Most of my nights are like that and then I cant get up in the morning because of the fatigue and pain. Good luck with the job interview. Enjoy Korn. Nothing like seeing these bands live. Gentle hugs Joolz.x
