Dioralyte

On a suggestion I tried a dioralyte and it worked, within 20 mins headache was gone, just wondering if anyone else suffers and if they have an alternative, dioralyte tastes horrible and just reminds me of being ill!

A bit of further info, I do have chronic low sodium for over 10 years which can sometimes cause light headedness although when I get it I have a dioralyte to increase my sodium levels which has always worked in the past but isn’t working now, which makes me think the lightheadedness is caused by something

I bought some Dioralyte sachets but am now wary about taking any. Annie.

Anyone know of any reason I can’t take Imodium or Dioralyte with Flecainide/Bisoprolol or Apixaban?

Have tried to stay hydrated and use rehydration salts (Yuk to Dioralyte) and diarrhoea now seems to be the problem. Although the heart rate seems to have dropped to about 70-80 it now seems to be irregular.

What I really want to know is if ( when ) I get it, do you think it’s ok to take the electrolyte sachets that come with things like Dioralyte ? I have paroxysmal Afib and taking Warfarin and Bisoprolol. I guess the virus is sure to trigger some Afib attacks !

I have therefore been of course drinking lots of water (for Covid and the D) and also taking dioralyte to keep my fluids up. Has anyone else experienced this ? and if so how long does it last? When can I start taking Loperamide ? Thank you in advance for any information.

Is there any reason why I cannot have a Dioralyte type drink ? I’m on Levothyroxine 50. I drink a lot of water to keep UTI at bay. I haven’t seen any contra-indications listed anywhere.

After a week I had to have anti sickness pills, Immodium and Dioralyte. The second time it was just 1 a day and I had similar symptoms. My Rheumatologist now wants me to try it again. Has anyone had such side effects and managed to take it please? Any advice woukd be gratefully received

through my mind is the constant nausea. 4) After What seems to be a 10-14 day cycle per episode, I would eventually but suddenly come back to normal, almost feels like something has switched back to normal in my stomach, and start to recover my appetite, and needing to mainly replenish my dehydration via dioralyte

ii) I am now on Fluoxacillin and Dioralyte having suffered bad stomach problems for a while. This has left me so exhausted that somebody suggested I was doing Zoom meetings with a Sleep Club!

I’m finding it hard to keep water down so I try to drink a Dioralyte ( and pray) ....... I dunno what to do?? My GP told me “it’ll pass don’t worry”

I'm also making sure I drink enough water (in the past few days I've completely gone off herbal teas so I'm sticking to water and dioralyte). Plan of action is to take it easy and rest. I knew from the beginning of this whole thing starting that it wasn't a normal IBS flare.

He is taking dioralyte to replace fluids lost, nausea tablets and gastric reflux tablets. Any advice on this would be appreciated too... although we have been asking health team Thank you in advance

My problem is I don’t seem to be able to get anything to thicken up I am still passing everything very watery , I am eating jelly babies,marshmallows taking 6 loperamide 4 times a day with 2 codeine also 2 Dioralyte a day anybody got any suggestions 🤷‍♂️ In anticipation thanks Stay Safe All Dogbot

Can I take, as a complicated cardiac patient, anything to restore my electrolytes (such as dioralyte etc?)? I’m conscious of the problems taking over the counter cold remedies with my pharmacology. Thanks.

My sister has recommended dioralyte but again I don't think that's a good idea because of the salt. I take 2 dihydracodein at bedtime as I have fibromyalgia and it helps me sleep.

I probably look a bit stupid but who cares :) I've also started mixing half a dioralyte rehydration sachet into my water before a run when it's really hot and that seems to help too.

Have taken 3 Imodium and dioralyte but nothing. As soon as I eat anything it's back out again, it's stopping me doing anything. Will definitely be at the doctors on Monday, but does anyone have any remedies for right now whilst I'm away? 😭😭😭
