Hi everybody! A few words and questions
Hi guys, I have been a member of this forum group since last month, and although this is my first post, I read the posts and responses on here often. I was discharged from Aintree hospital on November 28 this year, after being in hospital for 3 and a half months. I was first admitted to Oldham Royal

Some really good news at last...
I finally have some good news that I hope one or two other people might hopefully find useful and even encouraging in some way. Following lots and lots of further scans and tests in x-rays during the last couple of months, and after a recent kind of 'summing up' appointment with my GP, I've now been

Shock wasn’t the word and now 5 months on full diagnosis is LBBB and
dilated
cardiomyopathy
, and getting a CRT.D fitted within 12 weeks due to waiting list. First few weeks were terrible due to anxiety, tiredness and feeling bad, unable to climb a flight of stairs or walk 60 yards without help.

Can you ever be compensated again if you have varices ?
Good morning, hope you are all as well as you can be right now. I have been a bit down in the dumps all weekend following a disasterous job interview on Friday. I normally manage to stay fairly positive but definitely got the blues at the moment and have been fretting a bit about my health. I actually

Cirrhosis as a result of Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD) - does anyone have any experience of this?
Hi Everyone, I was recently diagnosed with "early stage cirrhosis secondary to Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease" and today I had an endoscopy which showed several (non-bleeding) varices. I was chatting to my brother this afternoon about my diagnosis and tests and he just happened to say "do you remember

Macular degeneration in 2nd eye
I have wet macular degeneration in my right eye for the last 3 years and it has just now started in my left unfortunately. Three days ago I received my first Eylea injection in the left eye and since that time the vision has been worse than it was before the shot - has anyone else experienced this?

PALLIATIVE CARE
Feeling very naked and exposed, Peeps has spent most of September in the Liver Unit at London Bridge Hospital but has finally been sent home to die. There is nothing more that can medically be done. He is now subject to Palliative Care at home with the help of the GP, District and Hospice Nurses but

Getting off Lasix aka Furosemide
I am trying to wein myself off all my tablets constantly, over what period were you able to come off Furosemide and how did you do it? I am starting to think miss a day when i wake up with the correct weight? I tried to reduce my dosage daily, but I think its better to skip the odd day here and there

Sudden Extreme Exhaustion
I am 75 years old, have
dilated
cardiomyopathy
, had an aortic valve replacement in 2015, have an ectopic burden of 53% and an ejection fraction of 30-35%. My problem is that, with very little warning, I get sudden bouts of complete exhaustion and chronic low blood pressure.

Confused with my results
Hi I was diagnosed with a fatty liver (284,5.8). I decided to change my lifestyle completely. Did another test 10-15 days later(291,5.7),basically no change. Did another test yesterday(almost 2 months since my initial test. I got rid of the fatty liver(230) but my stiffness level was at 7.8. The doctor
