DILATED CARDIOMYOPATHY

Respected dear colleagues,

Living with DCM for more than a year. Kept on beta blockers, diuretics, statin, clopidegril, pantarazole with domperidone & losartan with potassium. CAG done with no blocks. On half salt and fluid restriction. Symptoms reduced.

On a review before one and a half month it was found that my potassium & creatinine levels were high 4.7 &!1.9 respectively.

Consequently, losartan with potassium was stopped and intake of fluid was raised from 1 litre to 1.5 litres.

As on date my potassium and creatinine levels have come down to 4& 1.3 respectively.

For more than three days while I sleep both in the afternoon and in night, I wake up by a sudden feeling of jerk exactly as how we feel when we are riding a two wheeler and the fuel goes reserve making sudden jolts.

No feeling of palpitation, sweating or shortness of breadth and immediately within a second I resume to sleep.

Is this normal or something serious enough to consult my doctor? Kindly guide me.

I would get it checked. This is not an illness that you want to hold off on making a phone call. Anything could be going on.
