Here’s my story. Diagnosed with severe heart failure at 51! Shock wasn’t the word and now 5 months on full diagnosis is LBBB and dilated cardiomyopathy , and getting a CRT.D fitted within 12 weeks due to waiting list.
First few weeks were terrible due to anxiety, tiredness and feeling bad, unable to climb a flight of stairs or walk 60 yards without help.
Now 5 months on I feel great, at the top of my meds, been through cardio rehab and working with heart nurse every 2-3 weeks.
Don’t google, get a team around you of good medical people and only listen to them and do as they say, keep positive and remember there are new meds getting approved to help us all out.

Hi, there should be a heart failure nurse service at your nearest hospital, your cardiologist should know and so should your GP, or ask BHF for nearest service
Nice one Bigbrian. Glad you're doing so well. Looking at your post heading, couldn't help singing Keep right on to the end of the road (as a Birmingham City supporter!!). Love and best wishes xxx
