Hi everyone, I'm doing a study about how easy it is to use mobile phones. If you have Diabetic Macular Edema or Neovascular Age Related Macular Degeneration and would be interested in taking part please let me know.
The study takes about 2hrs and we also pay for your time and expenses if you take part.
You can also email me on: lee.medhf@gmail.com
Let me know if interested.
Thanks!
Lee

Hello Lee, I have dry AMD in both eyes, the left being the worst (no central vision) and I recently did a study of my own with mobile phones, and ended up with a Swedish Doro 6520. Backlit white on black, large buttons, big enough screen, I can use it easily. Not the smartest of phones, but it has a basic camera and a very good Phonebook, does SMS and MMS, and suits me admirably.
Hi Tallyho, we are doing the study in the US and Europe, it just had to be done in English with native speakers. If someone has the neovascular (Wet) AMD or DME and is interested then we'd visit our participant locally, so far we've been doing our study at market research facilities. Send me a PM/ email if you are interested and have a specific questions.
Why only those two conditions Lee? Surely the issue is the impact of (amounts of )sight loss on using mobiles, what does the cause matter? Or is it related in some way to sponsorship of the study?
