Good news and post recovery question
I feel I should apologise as I know there are lots of people here that are going through tough times but I am posting this as positive news and interested to hear from people who have recovered although I think I will be recovering from this for rest of my life. I went for a cardiology appointment yesterday

Atrial Tachycardia
After two temporarily successful cardioversions (6 months af free each time) I had an ablation in May and all seemed to be going well. I remained happily in sinus rhythm for over three months until suddenly, out of the blue, my heart rate and blood pressure rocketed and I ended up in the Resus Department

CRTD and pacing
hi everyone, I had a CRTD pacemaker with defib inserted about 18 days ago as I had a cardiac arrest in hospital after being given a loading dose of digoxin whilst on Dronederone, following a cardioversion that initially worked but then put me into afib with high heart rate. I’ve heart failure now with

Today was NOT the day
All gowned, obs done, cannula in place ready for my TOE and ablation BUT INR still only 1.7 and consultant decided that either procedure was ill advised as I have a prosthetic aortic valve and INR of 1.7 is a dangerous level. We had a good long discussion about ablation for my atrial flutter and ultimately

Solatol
Hi all. After a long uncomfortable time with AFib I saw a private cardiologist who prescribed Solatol 2x80 per day. It’s early days as I’ve just begun but a couple oh hours after taking first one I’m in AFib with HR 102. I stopped Bisoprolol and digoxin yesterday. Does it take a while for Solatol to

Digoxin again (and again)
Long story but after being on digoxin for just under a fortnight I began to feel ill : violent palpitations, high heart rate, diarrhoea ( frequent) and generally feeling terrible. Consulted gp who told me it was a bug but he’d write to cardiologist and if I didn’t hear anything after ten days to phone

Digoxin advice again
Hi all I’ve posted a few times recently about AFib returning after Covid. I’m now on digoxin, 2 x Apixaban, and Bisoprolol 10 daily. Been in this for nearly two weeks. At first all was well, but I am now getting daily bouts of quite fierce AFib which are intermittent for around an hour. I’ll speak to

Disappointing experience with cardiologist appointment today
Have just had 6 Month follow up appointment with cardiologist. Since last time I saw him I have had flecainide induced tachicardia and pacemaker fitted. Advice he recently gave to my doctors was to suggest Digoxin to take alongside BIsoprolil although I get terrible side effects with bisoprolil and don

Digoxin as alternative to beta blockers?
Hi I'm just wondering if anyone has experience of. taking Digoxin as an alternative to beta blockers whichI don't get on with on a daily basis as they slow my heart rate too much and leaving me feeling unable to do much. I currently take Apixaban (paroxysmal AF) and Losartan and Felodopine for hypertension

Pacemaker check today, help please with explanation
I had a pacemaker check, 3 months after initial check after 5 weeks. I was initially given Bisoprolol, which I find difficult to cope with, then 62.5 mg Digoxin as Dr Wanted my heart lower. Then upped to 125 mg after 2 weeks. Over the last week heart rate much lower, at 39, 40,s fifties and consistently
