Should I have an ablation?
Hi. Just looking for some advice. I’ll apologise in advance for the long post. I had ohs (mitral valve replacement) on jan 20th. I subsequently had atrial flutter twice in feb. On the first occasion it was stopped through meds and on the second I had cardioversion. I had no prior history of AF despite

Digoxin added to Bisoprolol
Have been taking 3.75 msg bisoprolol for past 3 months with excellent results of hr of 61/63 and it was being considered whether to reduce slightly because of side effects. Suddenly my heart rate increased to 120 over a couple of days. ECG showed tachicardia but blood pressure excellent, full blood count

Discharged from hospital
Discharged from the Heart Institute as my INR levels would not allow ablation to go ahead ( risk of clots). Started new meds - Digoxin, Ramipiril and Fruosemide to add to Bisoprolol, Atorvastatin and Warfarin and my heart rate has come down and no longer breathless but feel very lethargic ! Ablation

Do I need to be checked out
Hi I had an AF episode a week ago and then went into fast Sinus with a heart beat of 140. 6 days later I went into Kings for a routine endoscopy for my 3 yearly verecies check for my liver cirrhosis. My heart was still tackicardic. First they could not get the camera down my throat due to severe swallowing

Feeling upset
I had a successful ablation in October 2020. Since then I had a couple of echo cardiograms and blood tests and my heart function improved a good deal. Was back playing tennis and at the gym with the agreement of dr. Two weeks ago I felt unwell, no appetite and tired for a couple of days. Woke up

Permanent afib and ablation
Hello my husband has been in permanent afib for 5 years. He has had 2 cardioversions and one ablation. Never put him in normal sinus for even a minute. He recently had prostate surgery and because of hospitalizations he was without his digoxin for 2 doses. He has an ICD that is intended to shock

She continued to have palpitations and all the cardiologists said that she didn't have AF and that her heart was now fine. Just starting taking digoxin along with bisoprolol and perindopril which I was already taking, following my heart going into AF a couple of days ago. I had cardioversion approx 20 months ago. Anyone else taking this cocktail of medicines?

When should I go to A&E
I have been in PAF on and off for some years but the last 12 months I go a lot longer in AF and do not revert back without a Cardioversion. I have had a third ablation 5 weeks ago but for the last 3 1/2 weeks I have been back in AF. I am on list for cardioversion again and need to talk through my options

Beta blockers poor sleep
Has anyone experienced poor sleep patterns with beta blockers? My mum just been diagnosed with heart failure and Atrial Fibrillation. Has been on bisoprolol and now on nebivilol. She's also on digoxin. Sometimes she cannot sleep at all at night, then gets anxious and confused. She had not been like this
