Have just had 6 Month follow up appointment with cardiologist. Since last time I saw him I have had flecainide induced tachicardia and pacemaker fitted. Advice he recently gave to my doctors was to suggest Digoxin to take alongside BIsoprolil although I get terrible side effects with bisoprolil and don’t handle the digoxin very well. He basically said I had no other options and got the impression I Had to put up with the side effects. Also to leave things as they were for the moment and not arrange another appointment. I also had a pacemaker check a week ago and his explanations seemed different to information given to me at the clinic. I check my oxygen levels and heart rate on an oximeter and was told not to take any notice of the readings.
Has anyone else had a similar experience
I am now going to arrange a private consultation with senior cardiologist who is the network lead in electrophysiology and his specialties are cardiac arrhymias, Afib and has done research in these fields.
Does anyone agree with my suggestion.

I do not have a pacemaker but I have had Digoxin(ugh) and do take Bisoprolol. The former made me quite ill even on a small dose.Iam fine on Bisoprolol 2.5 twice daily. I think your cardiologists attitude would concern me so I think you are justified in seeking s omeone else you may trust and who altogether may be more kind to you. People with heart conditions need sensitive treatment and it does sound as if you are getting that from your present cardio.
I also agree, if it feels worth it to you then it almost certainly is worth another viewpoint. Peace of mind, if nothing else.Wishing you well with that.
Best is to find new doctor. Somebody you feel comfortable. Somebody that you will give full trust. Keep well. Dont stress yourself too much, you are free to choose another doctor
