Advice needed
I have been on Dopamine meds since 2010 and am presently on 2mg Neupro patch which I was switched to in 2016 by a Neurologist. The inevitable Augmentation is now so bad I need to come off it. I had a trial of Gabapentin in 2015 but developed a very serious depression ( never suffered it before or since

Weaning off high dose Pramipexole
I have had RLS since the 1970s. Some years ago I had augmentation. At the time I was taking the maximum recommended dose of Pramipexole, .75mg. My neurologist addressed it by a pramipexole vacation and prescribed carbidopa levodopa for 3 months. Seemed odd as it is a dopamine drug but it worked

Song 4 about depression
Verse 1 Walk with a smile while you dying on the inside Face all your days while you'd rather just stay inside Keep your shit together while you broken on the inside Don't say a word keep the thoughts on the inside No one can know how you doing on the inside Take all the hate and then point it to

A cross in the sand
Does anyone else find this explanation helpful -- ? Imagine yourself sitting on the beach and you draw a cross in the sand like an 'x'. The first stroke represents your dopamine deficiency and the second stroke you draw several times as it represents an overactive adrenal response subsequent to the HABIT

Rytary… might stop??
After 6 days the following impressions… I do get about an hour longer ON per dose. I was on a four hour cycle with IR, with about 2-3.5 ON per dose, depending on food. Rytary gives me 4 hour ON on a 5 hour dose cycle, BUT, the afternoon slump around 3 pm (halfway between doses, but when endogenous

Iron Infusion Attempt
This week I saw Dr Robin Fackrell privately at Bath Sulis Hospital to discuss whether an iron infusion would be an appropriate way forward for me and if so how I could progress this. The outcome of the session is that Dr Fackrell will write back to my GP recommending this course of action for my RLS

Mitochondrial failing due to T3 problems
My research online using Artificial Intelligence has firmly linked T3 failing to Mitochondrial failing. Thyroid T4 I note from my blood test results that I have low TSH, the bottom of the acceptable range of 0.45 mu/L At age 65, 0.5 is considered to be the lowest acceptable level. I asked an AI system

Confusion over Mayo Clinic report
I am now looking at probably going off gabapentin as it is likely the cause of nervousness that I was also experiencing on pregabalin. Reading the report, it seems the next recommendation is the nonergot dopamine agonists, or the drugs that cause augmentation. Sue Johnson, etc. seem to disagree about

Mum newly diagnosed with MSA-P and we are all struggling
Hello everyone I hope you don’t mind me starting a post, I’ve never really used a forum before so I am very unsure if this is the correct place to post. My Mum (69) developed a twitch in her finger many years ago which went away. She was a very slow walker but apart from that we didn’t think anything

Toxicological Effects of Berberine and Sanguinarine 2018

blood test back - any thoughts?
So now I am off all my meds, and started taking 200mg iron a night a month ago, my ferritin level just came back as 80, which I was quite surprised. The last one in 2020 was over 120. Should I double the dose and split it through the day or take 2 tabs before bed? Also my white blood count came back

Too much living in survival mode but what can i do - can't go to dad's, mom's scaring me with her drinking saying that if she wasn't drinking she would do something worse, my accommodation

Can damaged/irritated nerves cause RLS?
I've had RLS for a few years now. I've also had to have RFAs in a couple of places around L5 and my sacroiliac joint because of really bad pain from inflamed nerves. The RLS started well before I had the RFAs, but after I started having the pain. The doctors I've asked say RLS isn't caused by that (inflamed

Augmentation
I am sure this is addressed somewhere but I am too tired to look for it. In my years with PLMD, I have taken almost everything, but not dopamine agonists. Is it correct that if you start and have success at a low dose -- and never increase it -- that you could avoid augmentation?

I asked Chat GPT "Which foods contain or promote dopamine"?
There are several foods that contain or promote dopamine production in the body. Here are some examples: Tyrosine-Rich Foods: Dopamine is derived from the amino acid tyrosine. Foods high in tyrosine include: Almonds, walnuts, and other nuts Avocados Bananas Eggs Lean meats (chicken, turkey, beef

Liothyronine and histamine sensitivity
I have Googled and it seems that you can be short of
diamine
oxidase
(DAO) which is what clears the body of histamines and so the histamine levels can be raised and then you get a reaction (when drinking alcohol, for example, which is high in histamines) and your system is overloaded.

B1 and Vibrating gloves combination
Has anyone had any experience so far with taking B1 HDT together with the vibrating gloves? Are they compatible or would one need to take less B1 when using the gloves? My WWP has been using the PD Buzzboard gloves for 5 weeks and has been taking 1000mg B1 HCL for several weeks but is finding it difficult

Stopped taking mood supplement, SAM-e...is that WHY I'm struggling?🤔🧐🤨
I've been taking 400 mg of SAM-e once a day for several years as a natural mood stabilizer. Like St John's Wort, it is a natural antidepressant option, too. Included a description of what sam-e is below 👇... I stopped taking it at the beginning of May when I started microdosing Psilocybin mushrooms,
