Has anyone suffered really bad fatigue after brain injury? Does anyone have any advice? X
Hi! I was wondering if anyone has suffered with really bad fatigue? If so what were some of the things that helped? My partner is in rehab (his injury happened at the end of July) at the moment but is so fatigued almost all the time that it is preventing rehab and even weaning him off of his tracheostomy

*originally posted to a subreddit* really long post, sorry :/ i went down a research rabbit hole. i tried to find what was triggering it this time. the first time it was an antipsychotic i was on, the second time it was because i was constantly high and i was unmedicated (anxiety & depression). this

Augmenting on everything
Hi, I've been on codeine phosphate 60mg for the past 6 months and it's been fantastic but once again I seem to be augmenting on it, I've augmented on everything, tramadol, dopamine agonists, etc.. I really thought codeine was going to work this time, iron supplements really helped over the past 2 years

Has anyone used Dipyridamole with effect for RLS?
I read that in 2014 and 2015 , Dr Ferre receieved grants from the RLS Foundation to more closely examine how dopamine and glutamate work in the brain. Apparently he found that low levels of receptors of adenosine, a chemical in the brain that regulates neurochemicals, lead to abnormally high levels

Results : Organic Acid Test (OAT) from Great Plains Laboratory.
I wanted to share the details of the results for my mother, based on Urine test . Hopefully, this will help a few on this forum. I am only indicating the High/Low items in the report. The remaining ( of the total of 77 items) were within the Ref. Range. See attached sample report from their website

Dopamine and Serotonin Play Key Role in Perception and Cognition, Study Finds
https://parkinsonsnewstoday.com/2020/10/15/dopamine-and-serotonin-play-key-role-in-perception-cognition-study-finds/ This study is useful for theory, but doesn't seem to indicate any action for PwP. Things known about serotonin not in this article. Lack of sleep causes deficiency in serotonin. Bananas

Mannitol and Dopamine Levels
My husband started 1 tblsp of mannitol per day a month ago. He responded immediately with a lot more energy, mobility, cognitive clarity, balance....many improvements. He’s had Parkinson’s for 14 years, and at this point any spike in his dopamine levels causes hallucinations. If he gets too much he

Amantadine for fatigue/spasms
There was a post on here recently about Amantadine and I commented on how I took it 4 or so years back. Was one of the first drugs I took for AMN once I'd found a decent neurologist who was open to prescribing anything that wasn't Baclofen or Valium. Amantadine is an antiviral, was effective against

Getting there.....
Well after 13 months of waiting for a neurologist, turns out it’s not restless legs.... I have a tic disorder & ADHD!! So hospital putting plan together but they think I’ll need dopamine therapy and congenital therapy. If that doesn’t work I’m sawing them off!!!

IV iron infusion and questions
Hello again everyone! You might remember me, the one trying to get off of ropinerole because, in addition to augmentation issues, it also suppresses prolactin, a hormone necessary to produce and maintain breastmilk. I've had a hell of a time trying to withdraw from it, and I have visited a neurologist
