Thybon Henning doesn’t contain acacia?!
Sharing for info but also a question around changes to formulation. I’ve recently had my T3 increased which meant moving to Thybon Henning 20s. Since I’m allergic to acacia, I set about trying to find out if it contained it. I spoke to 2 pharmacies (SmartWay and Roseseway Labs) as well as doing my

Drinking plenty of tea may reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, finds study in over a million adults
Many of us might see variations on this story across the media. I have many issues with it: It is not yet a peer reviewed and published paper. It appears to have been selected for headline grabbing potential. In what I have been able to read, the effect of sugar (and other sweeteners) appears to be

According to the CDC [3]: "Leading risk factors for heart disease and stroke are high blood pressure, high low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol,
diabetes

There Is Hope For CKD — My Story
I wanted to share my experience and journey with CKD with you all. I was diagnosed with CKD stage 3 about four years ago when my eGFR went to 57. I saw two nephrologists over the course of four years and had many renal tests done as well as blood work every six months. My eGFR numbers kept decreasing

The Zoe programme and diabetes
Following on from the recent post about the Zoe programme. I saw my daughter yesterday and she can't eat sweet things because she has pre-diabetes. She's 60. My husband at the age of about 56 was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. His sugar level was very high. He dieted, lost about 4 stone in weight

Weight Loss
Admittedly, I have had weeks on end when I have been unable to even get out of bed but I have been told now that I have
diabetes
- I have been given the opportunity to control it via
diet
and exercise rather than medication (because I am only ‘just’ diabetic and I take so much medication already).

HbA1C - New guidelines
New guidelines / study of American Diabetic Association says that HbA1C level up to 8 are acceptable and there is no need to be heroic in reducing it. Because in the process of reducing HbA1C, if there are events of hypoglycemia, then the effects are much worse than to maintain the HbA1C below 8. Please

Fecal incontinence in 81 yo dad
Adjusted
diet
etc. I'm wondering if his
diabetes
may be a contributor - nerve damage- and even the medication he takes - Glimepiride. I have live in help, but she is changing him 3-4 times a night, clothing being too. During the day is better. He does not even try to use the toilet anymore.
