Decreasing bun levels
Hi, Does anyone know if steadily decreasing BUN and BUN/creatine values are 100% indicative of liver failure? Albumin, bilirubin, creatine, and protein levels are normal. Platelets are low. ALP, AST, and ALT are Moderately increased. The values have significantly gone down over the past 6 months being

I'm a newby here and so confused
I have had elevated LFTs for a couple of years now. They kind of fluctuate in and out of normal range. However, I recently went to the ER due to lower abdominal pain. During that visit they did a CT Scan and found diverticulitis and fatty liver. My Gastroenterologist then sent me for the following test

Yes, dietary sugar can "feed" PC? (And heart disease!)
Many have noted here that PC, unlike some other cancers, depends more on fatty acids than on glucose. Here is another study noting that high intakes of sucrose/fructose (particularly in the form of sugary drinks) impact de novo lipogenesis. That is to say, the sugars help promote the body's increased

Processed carbs
Eating processed carbs can measurably increase liver fat, signaling damaging inflammation. That’s because processed carbs increase your triglyceride & glucose levels, damaging your liver. Repeat that too many times & you'll join the ever-increasing number of those who are obese.

Chapter 17. I dream of the revolution that must come... 2/2.
This is chapter 17 of a book I published in 2015, "A Different Way of Looking at Parkinson's. Almost 20 years of experience with my father's disease (1994-2012)" (only in Spanish). Although we have learned a lot more since that year, I think it can still be useful to most sufferers and family members

New wearable tracks blood pressure, heart rate and glucose levels
From this morning's paper "Engineers have developed a stretchy skin patch for the neck that provides all-in-one health monitoring capabilities. The innovation can track blood pressure, heart rate and measure glucose levels, but is the first to monitor cardiovascular signals and biochemical levels."

Can Erleada/Apalutamide and Xtandi/Enzalutimide be used subsequently or is Xtandi ineffective after Erleada stops working?
If someone is castration sensitive and they start/use Erleada until it stops controlling the PSA, is Xtandi usually effective to use following the Erleada, or will Xtandi be ineffective because it works in the same manner as the Erleada? I understand that Erleada is for non-metastatic and Xtandi is

Weirdest coincidence....
I had my first post blood test endo appointment yesterday. He hadn't done t3 or antibodies as I thought would be and left me with questions. I was trying to explain about conversion and hashimoto's being autoimmune and why I'm trying gluten free to my husband on the way home, as much to get my own
