Anyone prescribe Metformin for prostate cancer not for diabetes?
Hi, thank you for letting my husband and I join in… As I am trying to find information on how to deal with my husband’s sever plaque psoriasis, awful psoriasis flares after docetaxel chemotherapy infusion treatments and high glucose levels/numbers that seem to coincide with these extreme psoriasis flares

How did we arrive at Disease?
I’ve often wondered how I ended up with Parkinson’s. Well the advent of Cov-vid may have inadvertently shed a light on this question. I began reading anecdotal reports, and articles saying that some people getting the cov-vid shot were experiencing a metallic taste in their mouth immediately following

Has anybody noticed activation of HPA axis with liothyronine use ?

Glucose needed for T4 to turn into T3
Hello - could anyone help me find a website or study that outlines the need of glucose to make T4 into T3? I'm writing an essay on it for my course and while I know this to be true, I can't find anything to back it up...

Worried about my pancreas
hello everyone and I hope you are all well. I'm a alcoholic of 10 years and just turned 30 . I've been drinking very heavily for the past 7 years. I've given up for weeks/months but can never end up quitting for good. I ended up drinking half of bottle of vodka, which Led me to drink 2 more

Slight uptake
Hello to all of you, So happy you're here. I don't write much, butI read all your posts. Last pet was not really good. Two lesions had slight uptake-4.5 and 3.1. Onc said it was not significant and could be due to the glucose or the machine. Today new pet - and the uptake is still there - 5

First PSA jump since dx, how concerned should I be?
My latest lab work resulted in a psa increase from .616 to 1.105 in one months time. Testosterone still <12 All other panels normal less glucose at 111. I’m really hoping that it’s because I went off the diet for 9 days to enjoy a cruise? Was that stupid? I let my MO’s voice “saying eat for pleasure

Dapagliflozin - Blood sugar problem.
Hi folks. Firstly thanks for listening and hopefully replying. Had a difficult week. Been on Dapagliflozin 10mg (Forxiga) since April 2021 without issues. I am not diabetic and it is used as a drug for heart failure. It does take glucose out of blood into urine. Cardiology always tell me how great

Diabetes Too!
in addition to my PC I have Type II diabetes. The Zytiga/Prednisone is creating havoc with my glucose. Would any of you know if the time I take these meds worsens this problem?

Been type 2 for many years and reasonably well controlled. For the past 6 weeks I have had continuous diarrhoea yellow green back to yellow nausea etc not able to eat or drink much alltest coming back negative. Awaiting scan. I have constantly asked about my diabetes and been told not to worry. However

Making sense of test results v physical symptoms.
I've not posted on here for a very long time, but always read posts to gain knowledge from you lovely people. At the moment I've been referred back to the endo as my numbers are all over the shop, I feel absolutely awful and am struggling to function. I have had to fight each appointment for the tests

Shock kidney function result, any related experiences?
After reporting on here a few times that mum's kidney function had steadily improved for 5y, last week’s results reversed much of the gains made. After improving from eGFR 36 (post-nephrectomy) to 76 ml/m as creatinine fell from 131 to 72 umol/L, her creatinine is almost back to where it started (129
