Dexilant

I just started using it recently (20mg/day) and it seems to be as good or better than 40mg of Dexilant. Definitely a drug to think about for someone resistant to, or who cannot tolerate a PPI. Jim

Controlled Symptoms with Dexilant 30mg a day June 2022 to August 2022.

The doctor has prescribed Dexilant 30mg and Amitriptyline 10mg and antacid like Rennie and Gaviscon to take as needed.

I am now on Dexilant 30mg a day having been on omeprazole 20mg for a while. Last year for 6months I was virtually symptoms free but since January it's been bothering me again Would appreciate if people can share their experiences with such acid reflux disease

Reecently as the acidity wouldn't settle down my doctor changed the medication to Dexilant/Dexlansoprazole 60mg once a day So far on day 6 and my acid reflux has really subsided and it has really helped . Has anyone used this medication before?

I am presently taking Dexilant. I continued to battle and deal with the pain the best I could for years while living life in the classroom with my students. I am a teacher and dearly love my job. However, due to my health, I am taking early retirement.

So the Dr. now ordered Dexilant . Has anyone had positive results with Dexilant ? Or if not what was your experiences with Dexilant. I am hesitant to start a new medication so any input would be greatly appreciated.

I am on 10 mg prednisone, boniva for osteoporosis, Actemra & Dexilant. Rheumatologist said he wants me to do the 2 part vaccine. He also said, "It could make you sick but I want you to do both parts anyway."

This was lasting for months until I started on Dexilant. Helped a lot at first but then I was getting sick from it. Now I’m on Rabeprazole and sucralfate. Anyone else have these types of symptoms for acid reflux?

My internist had me taking Dexilant(PPI) for three months which I am now off and I was warned that even carefully tapering off the PPI, GERD could still come back.

Stay on dexilant, figure out diet level for dysphagia... (same old stuff). I'm trying to give a little background but get to my point. Haven't had mouth sores since being on pred but got them when reduced last week from 80 to 60 mg.

I have been taking a combination of Dexilant in the morning and Pantaprazole in the evening for 7 months now. When I went to renew my prescriptions I was informed that I was not allowed to take both medications.

about a month ago I noticed I was getting heartburn, went to my Doctor and he put me on Dexilant 60mg twice a day. It helped with the heartburn but I got REALLY sick! I had diarrhea and I felt just awful. I think the dosage was too high. I called my DR and he put me on Omeprazole 40mg twice a day.

I was also thrown into full blown menopause after the chemo so I’m on Premarin as well for the hot flashes and other symptoms and Dexilant for severe GERD and Barrett’s esophagus (thank you radiation 😉). What I need is some advice on how to get rid of the fatigue.

I eat a small bowl of Bran cereal in the evening, eat oatmeal for breakfast and take a tablespoon of Citracel to stay regular as I'm on Dexilant for GERD.

I am currently taking dexilant and it has improved heartburn significantly but still get stomach pain frequently. My gastro doctor advised me not to drink alcohol after it was discovered that I had a fatty liver during this past summer. I still drank about 3-4 times per week.

He again wants me on dexilant but at a double dose. He also wants to do a PET scan and MRI to look for neuro endocrine tumors.

I was prescribed Carafate and Dexilant after the Endoscopy, both did NOTHING. I was referred to the Mayo Clinic, where I was told that I had Post Infectious IBS and Functional Dyspepsia, both of which are general diagnoses, and a fancy way of saying "We have no idea what's wrong".

I took my darn ginger root capsules and dexilant but vomited after an hour. My throat is hurting so bad. Don't forget about the gas problem. This is ridiculous and just sicken. What the heck to do anymore?? This is freaking ridiculous! !
